What is happening to me? Chapter twelve: last night

This was the last night of our life. We were al sitting together, as a family, after we went hunting. Normal, the couples would have go spend time with each other, but me and Emmett, and the rest decide to spend our last night as a family. Even Jacob was here, I still didn't like the dog, and he still didn't like me. With his stupid jokes, they aren't even funny. But I watched my behaviour. I knew Bella and Renesmee would be upset. We were in the house, sitting in the living room. I was sitting on Emmett's lap, with one arm around his shoulder. His arm was around my waist, holding me close to him.
We were pick old memories up. 'Rosalie, do you remember when you lost that baseball match in 1947?' Edward laughed. 'I threw mud in your hair, and you was so mad that you didn't talk for me the whole night!' I felt Emmett chuckle. I sighed. I didn't wanted to be like that anymore. I didn't wanted to be that selfish, vain, girl anymore. I wanted to be sweet, warm, and loved. Like Esmé, or my sisters. I didn't wanted to care so much about how my hair was, or wich clothes I wanted to wear, but I knew that if I said that to them, they would think that I'm asking for attention. Edward's smile diseappared when he heared my thoughts. He sighed. He looked at me, worried. 'Rosalie?' He stood op and came to me. I looked at him quizzically. 'Yes?' I asked quitly. Not sure what he wanted. 'Do you want to go out for a moment?' he asked. I looked surprised at him. Why not, he was my brother. 'Sure,' I smiled at. I kissed Emmett and stood up. 'We will be right back,' Edward insured them. They all nodded, surprised. We walked out of the door, down in the forest. It was quiet for a minute, until Edward broke the silence. 'Do you trust us?' he asked. I was overwhelmed because of his question. Ofcourse I did. 'Then why don't you talk with us?' he asked. I sighed. He heared my thoughts. I knew he was worried about me, and I didn't blame him. I would be the same. I sighed again, before I started talking. 'When I was human, I was grown up with the idea that I would marry a rich man, and would have many children. I was vain, spoiled and selfish. What I didn't realize, was that my beauty was a gift for my parents. They wanted to show how beautiful their daughter was, they wanted that other people would be jealous. They wanted that every men would love me, and I loved the way the men looked at me. If I'm now thinking of that,' I shook my head, before I continued. 'It's disgusting. When Carlisle found me, I blamed you all, for being a vampire. But what I didn't realize was that this was the best thing what could happen to me.' 'Wait, wait, wait,' Edward looked confused to me. 'What did you say?' I sighed. 'For years, years, I hate this life. But I found my family, and the love of my life. I realize only now that I'm the luckiest woman on earth! I never thought I would say that outloud,' I sighed. 'But what I mean to say is, being a vampire isn't so bad. And ofcourse, I want to have children, to be a mother, but I would never, never give you all up for that,' I looked at him. 'Especially Emmett,' my voice was almost unfriendly. I knew he was thinking that I would give up Emmett to be human and have children, but I would never. Edward bowed his head, in shame. 'I know we hadn't a good start, but Edward, you have to know, that I really love you,' I said quitly. He looked up and smiled a little. 'I love you too, Rose,' he said. I hugged him. 'I'm sorry for everything, especially for being so rude to Bella,' I whispered. Our arms still wrapping at each other. 'I know, I heared your thoughts,' I heared him chuckle. 'But you apolezige to her.' We unwrapped our arms and looked at each other. 'I'm really going to change,' I said. If that's usefull, we're going to die. 'Rose...' 'I'm sorry, it's just that I'm afraid,' I said. I looked at the ground. Edward putted his arm around me. 'We're not going to die,' he said. 'Shall we?' I nodded. And we walked at home. 'Er...' Jasper said when we came in. First I didn't understand what he mean, but then I realize that Edward's arm was still around me. 'Do we have to be jealous?' Emmett pointed at Bella and himself. Edward unwrapped his arm and kissed Bella cheek before he pulled himself next to her on the couch. We grinned. 'No, love, you're the only one,' I said before I pulled myself on his lap and kissed him. 'You had a serious talk,' Esmé said. 'You were gone for almost two hours!' 'As a vampire you don't realize time anymore,' I said. Everyone looked surprised at me, it was never easy for me, talking about what we are. I grinned. 'What?' I asked. They all frown. 'Okay, we're sorry that we're so late. We walked toward home, we didn't run. Although, I like running more. The speed is nice, and definetly the power,' I continued. Knowing that they were even more confused, about me, talking about a vampire like it's the best thing ever. 'Hunting is funny, when I was human, I never thought about jump at animels,' I grinned. 'Edward?' Esmé looked almost mad at him. 'Where did you talk about?' 'Oh mum, nothing special,' I smiled at her. 'Rose?' Emmett asked. I looked at him. He looked very confused. I sighed. I looked at my family. 'You all wanna know what's happening,' I looked at my hands. 'I talked with Edward, about this whole vampire thing,' I shook my head and then looked at Carlisle. 'I acted very rude, after you changed me. But I realize now, that this is the best thing what ever happened to me,' I said quitly. 'And I respect you, Carlisle. And I have to thank you, for having so much patience. Having children would always be a dream. But losing you all would be the worsest thing that can happen to me. And I have to thank Royce and his friends,' I said. Emmett growled. 'Where are you talking about?' 'If they didn't did that to me, I wouldn't have you,' I said to them all. They smiled to me. Alice stood up and hugged me. 'And I wouldn't be with you Emmett,' I looked at him after Alice and I broke the hug. 'I can't think about what would happen if Royce and his friends didn't did this to me,' I continued. I kissed his head before I stood up and walked toward Bella. I hugged her. 'I know I apolezige for what I did, but I want to say that you're my little sister, and I will protect you,' I whispered before I kissed her head. She nodded. 'Love you too, Rose,' she smiled at me. And then I walked toward Carlisle and hugged him too. 'Thanks you, dad, for everything, for changing me, for having so much patience for me,' I whispered to him. He kissed my head. 'You're my big girl,' he said. I nodded and smiled before I pulled myself again down at Emmett's lap, who wrapped his arms around me. And then we continued our last night, with picking up old memories. With my family. |
