will i be able to watch and enjoy Serenity without ever watching Firefly?

Yeah I agree with Asvini, I watched Serenity 1st before I ever watched Firefly and I really loved it.

Watch firefly first - you probably wont like serenity as much but knowing some of the things from serenity spoils firefly a bit on first viewing
