It combined an interesting plot, realistic characters, and a not-too-flamboyant romance all into one stupendous package.
I was joking with my friend earlier about how I loved the movie more then my family :)
It is literally that good.
I thought each scene was filled with such intensity, yet it was still always modest.
And I loved how they could explain such a gruesome tale, but not get too gory.
For example, when Maman and his "friend", I suppose you could say, poor acid in his eyes to blind him,...
