Music, you hear it almost everywhere. Some music you totally adore and other music makes you wanna cut of your ears. And sometimes you hear music that you just totally love, in my case music of bands and thenes pecially Snow Patrol, but why do I love their music so much? And why do I like bands the most?
The reason why I like bands more than solo artists is that, with a band everything has to fit. The drums, the guitars, the voice and the lyrics has to be perfect to make it a great song. This is also the reason why I don't like the most solo artists. Most of the songs that are very populair in my country I don't like because the music is mostly made with the computer and another pretty face with a great voice (but not so very special) sings it and altough it is an easy listening song you just keep thinking that the song reminds you of at least a dozen other songs. But with bands it's different. If everything fits you get a song which cannot be better and you just now that this song is special.
And Snow Patrol just knows how to make a song special.
There are just some lyrics that you never ever will forget, I never realiased how beautiful lyrics could be, until I heard the lyrics of Snow Patrol, that's another difference with (the most) solo artiest, the most lyrics of solo artiest are too simple and without any feeling. Just empty words sang by an artist who doesn't believe in what he/she is singing. Just created to make a lot of money easily.
I think that good lyrics are sentences that make you feel a very intense emotion, it can make you feel very happy, or very sad. And lyrics can be a great help for you, when people sing sbout lonelyness, for example, you can get a sort of comfort out of it. And the lyrics of Snow Patrol just makes you feel whatever they are trying to express in the song.
And of course the music of Snow Patrol is also amazing. The music is very well suited for the lyrics. The guitars are amazing and Snow Patrol has an unique sound. The music is like the 'body' of the song, it depends on the melody of the song if you like the song the first time that you hear it. The lyrics are like the 'soul' of the song the lyrics tell you about the 'character' of the song.
This all makes Snow Patrol unique.
No other band comes even close to the sound of Snow Patrol. All this makes Snow Patrol my favourte band of al time.
