Okay, this is the infamous "4 Real" thing. There has been so much speculation, going from the show is supporting a charity to an inside joke.

From my understanding it had started as an inside joke between all the dancers basically meaning "for real, for real". I think Twitch, Josh, and Will started the whole thing and it just spread to everyone else. But I don't know all about it, I'm sure there are people out there who know more than me.

yeah it is the symbol for for real, for real and it has been around it is just this season's thing.

see ive looked into this and people said that 4 real is an organization that is there to educate kids in africa and poor countries about art and such.
