its like an ongoing joke that started when the creators were kids. they too had a kid in their class named kenny and he was poor also. Kenny spent alot of the time sick, so the creators and their friends would joke around and say he died. Hope it answers your question

The reason Kenny keeps getting killed is because he is always putting himself out there. He's the one Cartman, Kyle, and Stan can get to do anything. like when, after they seen Terrance and Phillip lighting their farts..(stupid...lol. still was funny.) Cartman dared him and what?! He tried to light his fart. The writers slammed it, when they made the fart ignite and burn kenny to a crisp...and I love when the rats eat the body, ill-yuck...(lmao). I love Southpark. And what?!

The reason kenny always dies is becaused his suit is cursed. If anyone has seen the episode Kriple Fight Timmy gives Jimmy the kenny suit and all of a sudden when hes walking an airplane falls out of the sky and a lot of real accidents almost kill him. Luckily he survives.

The funniest thing about his death(excepting the famous "oh, my god, they've killed kenny! You bastards!") is not that he dies in every episode, but because in the following episode he "comes back to life"... Why he dies, i don't really know, but these scenes are very, very funny...
