Think about it. You've got boys of all ages and shapes and kinds. You got men...all remembering the comic and superman movies basically. You get everyone in the world to come to this movie. You get every ad campaign and taxi cab and twenty different versions of the poster. You got public school kids by the score. You got gangbangers, thugs, punks, freaks, nuts, sarcastic people looking to bag on nerdy Peter or Ugly Kirstin. You got every god damn restaurant promotion and K-Mart crossover. Got milk Sandman? A spidey-mask on the Jesus sculpture over Sao Paolo? On the MOON?! Criminals in prison?! Everybody in the world is going to see this movie just to weigh in on how stupid they consider the concept of "hype" in general. All ready to bag this movie if it doesn't really produce the goods. And what does Raimi open with?
Kirstin Dunst singing. And an EN-TIRE SONG!! Claps and everything! Audience testimonials like after a Martin Lawrence stand-up act that's on HBO. YO!!! You see what I'm saying?! How rich is Sam Raimi that he didn't consider the reaction of Spider-Man fans? Did he not take pride in the fact that anyone who would kick a bully's butt in real life was super...

I kinda expected this, especially after I finally saw Spider-Man 2. Y’know, how Harry Osborne looked in the mirror, and he saw Norman saying ‘’Avenge me!!’’. I did not expect the New Goblin to be such a disappointment, though. He looks completely different(even less of a goblin than his predecessor, the Green Goblin), his glider even changed… Oh well.
I do like some changes to his gadgets. His glider is faster, he has a nice blade-thingamajig, and he is (apparently) stronger then the Green Goblin. Though he is not as smart. When Harry confronted Peter, he was actually beaten by Peters web. I witnessed a thrilling battle between Peter and Harry in the alley. Next moment(though it was a funny one), Harry flew against a web line, then he just crashed. Another disappointment was the brawl between Black Suited Spider-Man between Harry inside his house. Even if Spider-Man wore the black suit, I did not expect Harry to lose so easily.
On a scale of 1/10 of how much I like the New Goblin in the movie: 5/10. His costume changed to much, and doesn’t look like the Goblin anymore. Though his gadgets have improved for the better, I still like the...

Three words: Impressive, though disappointing. He doesn’t look like a goblin, and certainly not like the one in the comics. Though, most of the changes in Goblin’s costume where for the better, I’d say. They improved his glider by far, his suit(though it doesn’t look goblin-ish) looks awesome, and his pumpkin bombs would have made people die of laughter if it where actual pumpkins in the movie.
The Green Goblin is being played by a great actor(one of the best, in my opinion). Willem Dafoe has played in a lot of movies, but was on his best in Spider-Man. It was too bad he had to wear that mask, though. He also played a lot of ‘insane’ roles before(Speed 2: Crouse Control). Willem’s voice also suites the Green Goblin perfectly.
On a scale of 1/10 of how I liked the Green Goblin in the movie: 8/10. His glider is awesome, they improved his costume (partly), and is played by a great actor.
