What to do in LA for spidey fan?

I have a friend coming into town from NY and he is a huge spiderman fan. He wanted to go to Universal, but it looks like their contract with Marvel comics ended, so nothing there. Anyone have any suggestions for somewhere in/near Los Angeles that he would appreciate? Thanks!
