Star Trek debuted on NBC on September 8, 1966.The show told the tale of the crew of the starship Enterprise and its crew's five-year mission "to boldly go where no man has gone before." After three seasons, the show was canceled and the last original episode was aired on June 3, 1969.
Star Wars was released on May 25, 1977 by 20th Century Fox.Written and directed by George Lucas, Star Wars was inspired by films like the Flash Gordon serials and the samurai films of Akira Kurosawa.
