William Shatner at Marbella Film Festival

William Shatner, the actor from Star Trek, will be coming for the premier of his new film/documentary “Gonzo Ballet” on Thursday the 1st of October.

Following the premiere, he will be going to the Hotel Locrimar, for the official opening ceremony dinner at Novelli’s restaurant for a 6 course dinner designed specially by Jean-Christophe Novelli

We are pleased to announce the launch of the 4th Marbella International Film Festival and would like to invite you to be a part of this epic showcase of events.
The festival is held on the 1st – 4th October 2009 and will involve not only the international film industry but the whole community of Marbella. The festival is already supported by Marbella Town Hall, Marbella Film Office and Junta de Andalucia.


This year’s Marbella International Film Festival will be the most prestigious and successful to date, we are selecting an elite range of outstanding talent with more than 700 films submitted to us from all over the world.
We are very honoured to be screening William Shatner’s, “GONZO BALLET”, to which he will assist personally.
We will also have the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Robert hardy, Ms. Ruth Lorenzo, Ms. Laura White and Mr. Craig Fairbrass to join us for the festival period.
The festival will attract huge international media coverage. A number of esteemed members of the film industry, new contacts made during the Cannes Film Festival 09, celebrities and local dignitaries will actively support the occasion by making appearances throughout the year at gala dinners and presentation award ceremonies.

We will also have a Festival Village, in collaboration with Festival International de Arte de Marbella, which will be made up of small pavilions available to hire by companies in order to promote their businesses. Centrally located in the heart of Puerto Banus, the Festival Village will play centre stage to all outdoor activities including live entertainment, shows, etc.

It is a perfect platform for independent filmmakers to ingratiate themselves within the commercial world of entrepreneurs, financiers and sponsors. The Marbella Film Festival provides an artistic opportunity for independent talent within the worlds of cinema, visual and performing arts.
