I love King's writing since as 11yo I've read 'It' and it scared the hell out of me. What he said about Meyer just confirmed he's my Master. After reading some interview with that Pattinson guy it susprised me that he had the same opinion as me about the book - it's fat mormon mamma (that's only my part;P) writing down her erotic fantasies and it's mostly just embarrassing to read. Beside that the language is poor (about 15 verbs and 10 adjectives over and over again), characters MarySue-ish (did she hear about character development?!) and the message simply dangerous for children's minds.
I really don't want to offend anybody by saying this but in my opinion Twilight is a book for bored miserable housewives and hormon-overwhelmed teenage girls. And Edward? Could he be more of an abusive boyfriend? Srsl he makes me sick.

I think he was right. Stephenie Meyer's quality of writing is, dare I say it, low. Most of the grammar is improper, and the characters are underdeveloped or too perfect. But I won't join the spot because I don't want anything to do with SMeyer. I would delete it because there would probably be a very uneven fan number* but it's your decision.




*I know some people who got a little bit out of hand when the Stephen King thing happened, and most people would just say "Stephen King is a bad writer and he isn't popular, he took too long to write books, his books are stupid because there is no Edward, etc.,

As someone who loves SK and thinks Twilight is fairly ridiculous, I think he was just speaking the truth. He can write circles around her.

in my opinion, he was just saying what everyone else was thinking....(everyone that's not a screaming teenage girl that is...)

He hit it out of the park with me when he mention another kids book series, Harry Potter, and says the difference between J.K. and Stephanie is that J.K actually has talent.

Regardless of what you think of the story and characters you have to admit that Twilights writting is very simplistic.

I think if that's how SK feels then he should be able to express it. The only people who are probably bashing him are those overly crazed twilight fan girls. It's a book people, not the world.

of course he was right it needed to be said everybody else was to scared to say it but stephen was brave enough to say it and i'm sure all those people who have to cover twilight are biting there tongues because they have to talk about that stupid shit
