	banjo_oz picked The Long Walk (1979): A tough choice for me, out of 'The Running Man' and 'The Long Walk', but I had to make a choice, and I think 'The Long Walk' is just that bit better. I love the whole premise and execution of 'The Running Man' (one of King's most "edge-of-the-seat" stories, IMO, too) and what an ending! But 'The Long Walk' just appeals to me more in its mix of real-life, horror and character exploration that is - IMO - what makes King King and not just any ol' schlock-horror writer. posted 8 months ago.
