If you ever happen to be in Downtown Los Angeles, go to Little Tokyo. There's a market there called Marukai. I've been going there since 2002. They've got a lot of great selection of things. I love buying the candies...the only problems is the items circulate around a lot. So one year there might be a particular candy for sale but the next year, it's gone.
