At only 10 years of age, Taylor was performing on stage at every event she could enter, from karaoke contests and festivals to country fairs and singing to hundreds of spectators in an effort to get her music out there. This was certainly one determined little lady!
While the rest of us were colouring in pictures and playing with Barbie dolls, when we were young, Taylor was delivering home-made demo tapes to all the top music labels, hoping for that big break. She was only 11. No wonder her latest album is titled Fearless.
At 14, Taylor and her family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, the country music capital of the world, where signed her first record deal before she could even get her licence!
Now she's huge in the US, so much so that despite country music suffering a major decline in CD sales, more than four million copies of Fearless were sold in 2008!

So this is an interview I read about Taylor's 3rd ablum....
Taylor Swift may still be rocking the charts with Fearless, but that doesn't mean that the 19-year-old isn't thinking of what her next album is going to sound like. Swift is already in the planning stages for her follow-up, and she promises this one has a lot of personal inspiration to draw on.
"As soon as I put out my last album, Fearless, the next day I was writing for the next album. So I'm always thinking ahead," she told MTV News. "I love organizing and planning and getting a theme going for the next record."
Swift has a lot of topics she could cover being a pop star, touring, fame, reading about herself in the gossip pages but she's not divulging what exactly she'll be touching on in the next LP. "I'm very happy to have that theme, and a lot has happened in the last year that's been very inspiring," she said, adding, "It's a secret."
But if you think that the album will be available at your local record store anytime soon, you're mistaken Swift, who is currently touring and will be performing at the VMAs in September, is taking her time...

Taylor Swift recently talked to Just Jared about everything from her best friend in the business to the last three ring tones on her cell phone. Here’s a sampling:
Your album Fearless (IN STORES TODAY) consists of mostly songs about guys. Do you prefer writing love songs or break up songs? I really like to write songs about relationships. I like to write about boys and I love to write about every aspect of love. I think that it’s really fascinating to me how many angles there are to a breakup. There are so many different things you can write about one breakup. So right now, that’s my favorite thing to write about. But also when you’re falling in love with someone, when you’ve just gone on the best date ever and you write a song about it. I think capturing that moment in time is really important and really fun. I am just fascinated by the whole relationship thing and that’s my favorite thing to write songs about.
