dont get me wrong...i looove spike too!
and during the second season of buffy- my sister and i used to quote spike all the time because we thought he was hysterically funny and such a cool and sexy character.
but to be honest- i think his love for buffy ruined him as the awesome character he was. i know many spuffy fans will disagree, and it's not like i hate spuffy, i actually think they have a lot of cute moments. i just think that spike became kind of pathetic and was constatly wimpering and frustrated throughout seasons 5 and 6.
i loved him in season 2 because he was so confident in himself and he listened to no one-- he definitely had funny moments in some of the later seasons, but i think 80% if his funniest moments and best lines were in season 2.
on the other hand....my adoration for angel has been constant through out both series (BtVS and Angel). I have been in love with his character from the first episode of Buffy to the last episode of Angel.
