How to find your favorite TV shows on the Internet

This isn't a TV! Or is it?

These are some helpful hints for those who are not especially knowledgeable of how to find Television shows on the Internet.

During my days as a college freshman, far away from home, I often was stuck with a lot of free time (Especially on the holidays). It is then I discovered youtube. I found it amazing I could watch all these television shows I just loved back home(where I had Satellite)! Of course, eventually youtube merged with google and took down many of these beloved shows. Therefore, I looked elsewhere: Where might I get my next fix for X-Files, Smallville, or The Office, or watch Lost season 3 after it already ended? I did not have a lot of money to be spending on DVD Season box sets.
The result is a wide library of video sharing sites and the methods to find what I’m looking for. So let’s start at the beginning:

TV Character Near Death Believability

A fairly common idea in television is to have a main character have a near death experience. Whenever I watch these episodes, I always know that they'll never kill off a main character - or will they?

If the writing is really good it can make you believe that the character might actually die. Here, I'll discuss how believable these near-deaths really were.

The Simpsons - Homer
The Story: Lisa insists the family have something instead of porkchops on Friday, so they go out for sushi. Homer eats some improperly cut Fugu and finds he has twenty-hour hours to live. He spends his last moments listening to the Bible read by Larry King. The next morning Marge finds some warm drool on his lip and wakes him up. He didn't die.
Believability: I knew they wouldn't have killed the leading male in the second season of the show. Where would the show be if they had? Canceled - that's where.

How To Download Veoh Videos

As many of you would know, I love to upload videos to many spots on here (television is something of an addiction of mine). Many of these videos happen to be Veoh videos which are only available in 5 minute previews. One recurring theme of many of the comments I receive on these videos is that it isn’t the whole video and people seem unsure as to how to download. So here’s my step-by-step guide on Veoh videos!

1. Firstly you’re going to need the Veoh player (Image A). Here’s a link to the download page:
http://www.veoh.com/veohTV/getStarted.html
You may think it’s a hassle to have to download a player, but it doesn’t take very long and the quality of the videos is far superior to most of the Asian hosting sites. Plus you only need to download it once!

2. Once you have the player it’s time to download the video. Now remember it IS the whole video. The video posted on here is only a preview. To get to the download page simply click the link picture next to the video title or double click the video. Now you’re at the Veoh page on which the video is hosted.
