Starlight Children's Foundation's annual "A Stellar Night" gala saw Nintendo honored for its long-running corporate sponsorship, including the manufacture of "Fun Centers" featuring Wii consoles, and Teri Hatcher honored for being awesome.
Starlight Children's Foundation presented Nintendo of America and its President and COO, Reggie Fils-Aime, Starlight's Jacki Carlish Humanitarian of the Year Award for his and his company’s "unwavering and longstanding support of Starlight."
Through a network of chapters and offices, Starlight provides enduring support to sick kids, their parents and siblings in all U.S. states and Canadian provinces with an array of hospital-based, outpatient, and online offerings. Internationally, Starlight programs are delivered through affiliates in Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom. The Children's Foundation has been dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities for 25 years.
One of Nintendo's ongoing contributions includes the manufacture and continued evolution of portable "Fun Centers," bedside entertainment units on wheels equipped with TVs and Nintendo Wii game systems (if not Nintendo GameCube consoles). terilynnhatcher.com
