First off, what are you talking about? The show DID have a happy ending! Sure, they all went their separate ways but that's life. Life doesn't always have the perfect ending. If they would have all stayed together it wouldn't be realistic.
Next, Donna and Eric may not have ended up getting married, but they're BACK TOGETHER! Isn't that enough. The show leaves it up to the audience's imagination to decide what happened after the show ended, which is just as cool as if they would have actually filmed it.

I agree with this entirely. The show didn't need a perfect ending; it was never about their social lives, it's about growing up and learning what's really important. Look at things: as much of a moron as he was, Kelso had a kid and learned responsibility. Jackie came to terms with what they'd been hinting at since the first season: she was meant to be with Fez. And Bob ended up moving away to Florida. Red finally got his season tickets. If there's a more perfect ending please, share it.
