MOST LIKELY YOU HAVE THE LET IT BE RECORD ON YOUR HANDS,WHICH THE FIRST RELEASED HAD THE RED APPLE ON IT,LATER RELEASES WERE CHANGED TO GREEN.IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE BACK OF THE RECORD SLEEVE YOU WILL SEE THE RED APPLE ON THE BOTTOM WERE THE CREDITS ARE.

They did use both kinds of Apples if you look on the record Let It Be it is a red Granny Smith Apple. I know that in America they used the bright green Apple first cut in half, I think on The Beatles Album. But I think that in Englad they used a different color Apple so that they could tell the difference between an Enlgand recording and an American recording. You can find more information all over the internet, but my best bet would to write to Apple Records to get the "record" stright. If I find anything else I will let you know right away.
