they're making the movies in the order they were written. CS Lewis wrote the books in the same order their coming out in the movies. He didnt write the chronologically

Yeah, if you've got the big book that has all of them in it, it says that their in C.S. Lewis' "prefered" order, not the order he wrote them in. I like the way they're doing the films, I didn't like the Horse and His Boy anyways.

I think it would have been easier for "non-readers" to follow if they did it in chronological order, rather than Lewis's order
"but if you think about it LOGICALLY" [you know you love that i fit that quote in there] They need to make them in Lewis's order, otherwise the characters would get to old to pass off as only a year older than the last time they were in a film.

i do want a silver chair one though =) and last battle!
But I think all you people who are saying: How can this bother you? It is Lewis' order!
He never meant to continue the story after LWW, which is why the publishing order is different than the chronological order.
The history of Narnia kept coming to him randomly and he felt he had to write it, although it wasn't in order.

it depends to some people it is and to some it isn't
If you read them in C.S. Lewis' preferred order, then they're only skipping The Horse and His Boy. While I know it is an important part of the series in its own way, I won't really miss it if they don't make the movie. It may be important to other people though, and for them, I feel bad.
They are making the movies that have the kids in them. that's it.

they did the same thing with The DaVinci Code. The DaVinci Code is a sequel to Angels and Demons, but Angels and Demons is in production at the moment ;)

Technically they are still going in publishing order. Besides, I think they are just trying to complete the books with the original cast so that they can get made before the actors/actresses grow up and are too old to play their parts.
