I would like to share with other Eagles fans,the impact this song has had on my life.I had already been married at a young age,remarried with 3 kids,widowed and on my third marriage.I had been with the third husband an unhappy 9 years,when my first husband rang. He was the first love of my life whom I'd never forgotten,so when I heard his voice I was in a flux.I was sitting outside and Desperado came on.The words seem to come to me as if they'd been written for my exact predicament,I was 45 and had tried to leave my third husband so many times but as soon as I heard my first husbands voice,I was in a spin.I remember distinctly wondering what the hell to do,at a complete crossroads in my life,not knowing which way to turn.Desperado seemed to sum it all up for me.I made up my mind then and there to run away from an unimaginable future with a controlling husband to a tangible future with the man I should have been with all along.It's never too late and I put it all down to that one Eagles song.I've never been so happy,we're 3 years down the track and remarrying in October,on the day we met up again after 25 years and he asked me to marry him again on our first reunion.Love does...
