I really want to see how they put the things into the "Hosts." I want to see all of the flashbacks. I just want it to be like the book the best that it can. Try not to leave anything out. PLZ

Wow are you serious? I don't doubt that you've written more than half of a screenplay but it takes a lot to get it all the way to Stephanie. I'm not sure you realize just how many people have done what you are doing and haven't made it. I wish you the best of luck though!

If you are serious about making The Host into a movie with all the parts that it needs and go by the book in every way then good luck and I can't wait.

For the parts that need to be in it, well everything really, even the small parts that don't mean a lot need to be in this movie to make it what it is. You need the parts where Melanie/Wanda is trapped in the small storage place and the flashbacks and when she tells her stories and I'm not joking when I say this, you need everything.

If possible you could get Jensen Ackles (from Supernatural)to play Jared. He would be good.

The dialoges between Mel and Wanda, in thier head, are absolutly ESENTIAL! i dont think the movie would be possible without All of them. And as far as cast and things go it would be nice if the characters looked like how they are described but I would much rather them be good actors (not neccisarily famous, but actors that are good at what they do). Its funny because I just finnished reading this book again and as I read it I was thinking of the best ways to translate it to a movie. The only other suggestion i have (promise;))is that maybe in someplaces when Wanderer is blindfolded I would suggest maybe doing those parts as if the audience was lookin through her eyes (occasionally anyway) So that it seems more true to the first person experience of the book!

i am well serious on this! i was well angry with the film twilight because the books were brill and the film was rubbish and for the people who never read the books they dont want to coz the film put them off!
the host is 1000000000000000000011% better and i want every one to read the book wich means the film has to be brill!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'd love to see all the kissing scenes because i hated that in twilight they only left one scene, i'd also love to see the part when kyle tries to kill wanda and the part when the try to take out the soul from a host and wanda is like traumatized, it would be amazing to see some of the raids specially the one when jared and wanda go to the hospital and wanda cuts her hand...
i would hate if the change the story like they did it on twilight that they cut so many important parts so i'd like to see the movie sticked to the book

Andrew Walker must play Jared. I was just watching a movie and as soon as I saw him my head starting screaming; "That's him, that's Jared!!!!". The movie was called "abducted" and it was on the Lifetime movie network.

Amm... I don't know how much funding you would have, but I picked out some actors that I thought could/do embody both a look and persona for the characters:

Jared: Jensen Ackles (I totally agree with those who see that)
Melanie: Elisha Cuthbert (I also could see Missy Peregrym or CHarlotte Sullivan possibly as well)
The Seeker: I was thinking maybe someone like Selma Blair. She's supposed to be small as a person but dark (dark hair, dark eyes, all black) and a tenacious/persistent personality.
Pet/Wanda: I really liked someone else's suggestion of Elizabeth Harnois.
Jamie: As someone else suggested Josh Hutcherson
Ian: I think that Josh Hartnett could play this role VERY well. Silently kind, hard to break down. I think he'd play such a FABULOUS Ian. Getting so upset for her.. Oh, <3<3<3
Doc: I was thinking maybe Shane West could do...

Jeb: Now... I'm not POSITIVE on appearance for this one, but I definitely think that he could have him personality wise, but Matthew McConaughy. I can just picture him looking over and saying "My house, my rules."

I definitely would love to see the bedroom confession scene, I think I was just about inconsolable at that point (I can totally picture J. Hartnett begging her at this point). I think it's essential to capture the differences in personality sharing the same body for Melanie/Wanderer. They are two sides of the same coin. And really capture the feeling of the book.

I see that you really want to do this film so I'm really happy and I'm totally agree with you for the Twilight movie the only thing I found great on the film was Jackson Rathbone as Jasper it was very interesting. Iwant to suggest to choose new actors or not well known to the public wich could match with the description!!! Even if I love Jensen and Sophia I would prefer unknown people because it would interesting to have fresh faces on screen!!
You can still do a 2 part movie and keep everything of the book or made a tvfilm with a lot part but I know I'm dreaming but I really want to see a real adaptation usually I simply hate adaptation so I hope I will like it!!! It my favorite book so don't kill it!!!!

I'd also like 2 C how "Hosts" R put into bodies. That part in the prologue was very interesting.

The reason the book works so well is because it's able to show what Mel and Wanderer say to each other inside her head. You'd have to be careful about that cos in movies it doesn't usually work anywhere near as well. There's also that feeling Mel has of being caged in her own mind, being conscious of everything but not being able to fight it. That's very easy to do in a book but in movies its a lot harder to not make it cheesy.
I think that's the main problem you'd need to work out because it's an essential part of the book. Also Wanderer's feelings for Jared. How are you going to show that? It's this unexplainable passion which resides in Mel's body. These sort of things you can't just see them for an explanation you need words - another reason why the book can work a lot better than the movie. So be careful!

Are you serious that you are writing the host. If so please could you make sure you do better than Cathrine Hardwick's attempt of directing twilight.
Also i really would love to see:
The kissing scenes realistic
The charecters carefully chosen
The film to be just as good as the book
Try to do your best and make THE HOST film live up to stephanie's expectations and her loving fans!
Also if you look on youtube you can find various videos of fans favourie cast; that may come in handy.

Ok first I´ll start just like the book (with Wanda been "connected" with the body, and her first reaction to the first memory of the body-"death"-). I would only put one session with Kate and one class (the one when the seeker is seating), then I have no idea (actually I´m writing a screenplay about the book -´cause I am a writer and I love the book- and I got stuck in this part). About the cast, Jeb could be played by Richard Dreyfuss, and the seeker by Christina Ricci, about Melanie/Wanda I don´t know, but I red that people want it Sophia Bush, and Jansen Ackles as Jared.

And as I know that this is a joke, I just have to say to you: Nice try !!!

A little suggestion - i think you could make the prologue really spooky and mysterious, not so sunlight and happy-happy, coz although souls are all happy and stuff, making it creepy shows that this isnt the average soul or circumstance etc and will foreshadow rest of movie, you know? just an idea anyway :)

i want to see when Jared hit Wanda i know it might sound crazy But that was some thing you would never think of happening and i want to see the part where he has some cheetos and he ate them slowly letting wanda hear each distinct crunch and she starts laghing and he moves away lol i really want these two parts in there

jamie NEEDS to be tan because some people think of him as pale but he's NOT!... the scene with kyle trying to kill mel/wanda needs to be perfect.. mel/wandas first raid with jared to the hospital needs to be there.. jamie's line "but dont scars impress girls?" needs to be there.. i have many more requests haha..

i do agree that the inner conversations between mel and wanda should be in the movie it wouldnt be right without them and here are my ideas for the actors
