When I was reading "The Host" I pictured Mel to look like Missy Peregrym from the movie "Stick It." I think she would be an awesome Mel!! I could see Adrian Brody playing Doc. As for the rest of the cast I like some the answers other people of posted...my fav for Wanda is Sara Paxton, and for Kyle I like Ian Somerhalder, Jared I am leaning towards Jansen Ackles, and for Ian I haven't really thought of anyone yet that translates to the person I have envisioned in my head.

Kyle O'Shea: Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries, Lost) The O'Shea brothers have striking blue eyes and look so much alike that Wanda sometimes gets them confused with each other. Chace Crawford and Ian Somerhalder both have piercing blue eyes and they could definitely pass as brothers. I noticed a lot of people on the internet like Ian Somerhalder as Ian O'Shea, but I think he'd be a much better Kyle. If you've ever seen an episode of The Vampire Diaries, you know that he is great at playing cruel characters, and Kyle is pretty darn cruel. Chace Crawford can be both sensitive and tough, as Ian O'Shea is both. |

Taylor Kitsch as Jared Howe, he recently played Gambit in Wolverine Origins. Sean Faris as Ian O'Shea he played in Never Back Down as Jake Tyler he's quite lovely! Chris Hemsworth as Kyle O'Shea he played in Star Trek recently.. He looks like he could have a nasty side;) Juno Temple as Wanderer she's the new hotness playing in several roles like Atonement, and Year One as Emma She's a babe with a sweet face. and Lerman Logan as Jamie
