I really pictured Natalie Portman all the way.

Actually I remember reading that Melanie/Wanda had black hair and green eyes. I think Evangaline Lilly would be perfect for this part. She's athletic, as Melanie's body is described in the book, "...a body that was used to running miles and miles..." and she's got that 'tough' look about her, "...a face that was capable of causing hatred, even fear..."

I gotta say I love Evangaline on Lost. Kate is my favorite character on the show.

I Think Melanie is a beautiful brunette, tan with long hair even though in the book it's short! but someone that is physically in shape and expressive in her eyes like Rose Byrne. Wonderer would be the opposite petite build, with a sweet angelic face one that hearts would stop, soft a gentle flowing blond hair and eye's that you could.not.say.no.to:)Juno Temple

I always imaged Sophia Bush as Mel and Elisabeth Harnois as Wanda. :)
