It was a soul.
The boys had kidnapped a soul.
Did they usually do this?

I began to tap my foot impatiently, stealing peeks at the soul then to Jared, then to Doc.
I wasn't even suppose to be in the clinic.
I didn't like this, what they where about to do with the soul. Lacey and Candy where like that, but they were different. Lacey was because of some Seeker that was attached to Wanda, and Candy was an experiment for Doc.
Could this guy be a Seeker?
I began to chew on my lower lip, looking at the Soul laying on the cot. He was tall and lanky, with red curly hair. He had few freckles, and his skin was pale. I couldn't tell what color his eyes where, partly because he had his eyes closed.
I was still wearing that awful sun dress, but then dough on my arms dried, making it easier to chip off. I still had no shoes on, the rocks in the cave cut into my skin.
After a couple of seconds, I took down my curly hair. I loosened it, then went back to the conversation going on in Doc's office.

"Doc, are you sure you want to do this? What if he's like Jodi, he doesn't respond?" Wanda asked softly, constantly peeking at the soul on the cot. Ian was in the room, too. As was Melanie and Jared, all looking at the Soul then back at Doc.
"It wouldn't hurt to try," Doc said, looking at the Soul's neck.
"But what if he doesn't respond?" Ian asked, looking at Doc.
"We'll put it back in."
"Then what?" Jared asked flatly.
It went silent, I could see tears forming in Wanda's eyes. Did she really care this much about this Soul? Wait, never mind. Didn't they love everything?
"Do we kill him?" Jared asked. Only Jared.
"No!" Wanda shouted, standing in front of the Soul.
"Then what? We can't just keep him prisoner!" Jared shouted back.
Ian stood next to Wanda, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "Jared, don't scream. We'll find out soon enough, we'll just have to wait and see what happens, then we'll have a debate."
Doc had been in the middle of this, but he slowly made his way to the corner of his clinic.
"Everyone calm down," I whispered. Jared shout a glare at me, Wanda was crying into Ian's shoulder, and Melanie was just annoyed.
"We don't need to have a fight over something this early, we can wait and see the result. Right now, it's all up to Doc." I looked over at Doc. My voice grew as I spoke, so everyone could hear me.
"Shay, your not even suppose to be here," Jared said, even though he wasn't looking at me.
"It's a good thing I was, who knew what would have happened." I was still looking at Doc, but I glanced at Jared.
Doc sighed slightly, locking his eyes on the creature. "We do the dissection. If it doesn't work, we'll put him back in." Doc paused, "then figure out what we're going to do."

Everyone nodded in agreement.
