When the film was released there was a stir in Japan. The film was very similar to the well known anime series 'Kimba the White Lion'. First there is the obvious similarity in names (Simba and Kimba). Also, both had a baboon as a shaman. But the similarities don't end there, both had an evil uncle - 'Scar' in the movie and 'Claw' in the series - as well as henchman hyenas. Plus a pose by a king on a rock. The possible lawsuit was dropped, because Osamu Tezuka's (the producer's) widow said that he would have been flattered that Disney was inspired by the series.
The film's original opening was going to be a quiet dialogue-heavy sequence. Hans Zimmer (the composer) made an extended version of 'Circle of Life' to allow for some cuts from the film. The animators were very impressed with his work and decided the change the beginning so that the could use Zimmer's complete work.
Simba says to his uncle Scar 'You're so weird!' To which Scar replied: 'You have no idea.' Jeremy Irons (the voice of Scar) gave this same response in the 1990 film 'Reversal of Fortune'.

Princess Kairia, was engrossed as she listened to her grandfather the former king Simba, as he told her a story of one of the adventures he had with her grandmother when he was a cub. "There Grandma and I were cornered by the hyenas they were moving in for the kill. I did the only thing I could think of, I roared at them." Kairia looked at her grandfather impressed and asked him "Wow Grandpa did that scare them off?" Simba laughed heartily at his granddaughter and said "No, dear one I'm afraid it didn't." Kairia asked confused "But Grandpa if it didn't work then how did you and grandma get away?" Simba laid down next to Kairia and replied "Well, after my roar didn't scare them off I truly thought me and grandma were done for then my father came to our rescue. It was very scary but also exciting, Dad made those hyenas run to the ends of the earth" Kairia laughed and said "Grandpa that was a great story,can you tell me another one?" Just as Simba was getting ready to tell his granddaughter another story Kiara his daughter and reigning queen of the pride lands found them sitting on the summit of Pride Rock, "Kairia,Father there you two are, I've been looking every where for you both,...

Zira lived with her cubs happily until they all became adults,she rememberd the promise she made to Scar(Taka).She trained Kovu for days and days until he became the perfect hunter no one has seen,she filled his heart with hatness and evil.But Kovu didn't listen because he fell in love with the kings daughter and betrayd his own family.Zira tried to get him back on their side but she was unsucsesfull,she watched him every night when he was on Priderock,she thought he had a plan to get to Simbas daughter then get Simba's trust then when he's on his own they'll get him.And her plan of ambush was sucseded,but Kovu wasn't in the plan he tried to help Simba but Simba thought that he was on their side.And in the chase one of her sons died it was Nuka,she blamed Kovu for his death,she hit him and she gave him a scar that looks like Scar's(Taka's)
