I agree totally about that being one of the best opening scenes yet! This episode detroyed my respect for Jan. I hate that Jan has feelings for Michael... Its just so wrong. I hope the writers decide to get her out of this relationship soon!
Another fantastic episode! But am I the ONLY person who thinks Jan NEVER EVEN SAW THE PHOTO? This is my theory: It takes Jan
2 1/2 hours to get to Scranton from New York. The e-mail blunder happened while she was on the road! And as far as the photo is concerned, I think Michael Photo-Shopped their faces into the photo just like he did with his in Carol's family's skiing photo. If you go back several episodes (I'm not sure which one) we hear Michael speaking to his mother on the phone. His tone of voice is totally different than that of Michael Scott of Dunder Mifflin (gentle and genuine), and that's the same tone heard in his voice when he invited the mystery person to Sandals in the Christmas episode! I think he went to Sandals with HIS MOTHER! I can't wait 'til next week!

I LOVE when Michael's walking up the stairs to follow Jan, it was definetly a walk of DOOM. And Kevin waves at him as if to say 'nice knowing u'. WOW there's some great acting.

I just recently got into watching The Office, and I had rented the 1st and 2nd season and I really didnt want to wait for the 3rd season to come out on DVD... so I went looking everywhere on the internet and found the episodes here! THANKS SO MUCH! You're a life saver. :)
Interesting THEORY, but you have to remember that this is "The Office" and not a show like "Lost." While this show is probably the best situation comedy on American Television today, The Office isn't really a show where continuity plays an important role. There aren't that many plot twists to warrant such speculation. The show is rather simple: Michael gets into a sticky situation, calls for a meeting, and acts like an ass; season liberally with some sexual tension; add a few guest appearances, guest directors, and guest writers; stir thoroughly and let it marinade for a week... and, wallah: a great American comedy series packed with comedic nourishment and fresh for human consumption.
Jan DEFINITELY went to Jamaica with Michael...she has a tan...and if you watch the deleted scenes on nbc.com there is a hilarious scene where Jan is telling one of her co-workers that she was in arizona for the holidays (totally unconvincing) while the fellow employee is looking at the picture.

Ah i really want to watch this episode it is the only one i haven't seen and it says "No Data Available" good work posting these though! all the others are great
yeeeah...I'd like to see this episode too. I was a late Office bloomer and have only recently been inducted into the ranks via two or three nearly-all-nighters of playing catch up. Now, just when I was almost there...this one episode eludes my grasp. Sigh...whats an Office fan to do?
