If my class were to do a play of Julius Caesar based on The Office, which characters do you think would match?

We're thinking of this as one of our choices for the "theme" of the play, but we're having arguments as to who the characters would match up with :)

this is quite hard cause 1. i haven't read this in 4 years. (but it was my favorite book i read in all of highschool so i remember it pretty well. 2. cause i wanna say one person is one thing but then i flip flop and say no this person would be better, but then it throws off the dynamic i'd set up.

anyway here's my 2 cents.

micheal-caesar (head of the office and whatnot... vain... etc.)
dwight-antony (i feel like he would be one of the conspirators to kill michael, but he's the only one who would defend michael should he be killed, make sense? also, he hates jim so turning the office against jim would make sense there too)
jim-brutus (i had a hard time with this one, cause he has a good heart, but is mislead with what he is told and kills caesar out of fear of what will happen to rome i can see jim being like this)
ryan- Cassius (cause he ran dundermiff for a while and had a bunch of ideas to make the company stronger but screwed them over wayy bigger in the end.)
Oscar/creed/andy- Casca (i feel like any of these people could get very carried away with this and go overboard and start the murder)
toby- Terminus cause i feel like even though him and michael don't get along he wouldn't have the heart to stab michael.

as for the others, i'm not sure and i'm too tired to think more. thanks for reminding me i need to reread julius caesar. also, good luck with your project. hoped this helped!!

thanks a lot! I'm not sure if we'll use it, since we had a couple more ideas floating around. But this was great help! :)

we're not actually doing it :/ turns out we don't have enough time to both get the play down and have an elaborate setting. we've been kind of rushed.

haha we have to perform on monday. the supposed "dress rehearsal" today went horribly, in part because today was the day we dressed up for halloween in school. haha. half the cast were in sparkly spandex. not quite the effect we were going for. but, yeah, hopefully we pull it together..i really need to memorize my lines. i'm in year 10. sophomore in high school. english honors.
