Yeah, watching that video made me feel so bad for him! He means well, but he's just so ridiculous sometimes...and that's why we love him so. Dammit Michael!

But yeah, I used to think his mannerisms were inexcusable too but if you really think about it, he does have redeeming qualities. It's almost as if he really just doesn't know any better. It's not like he's Todd Packer Part II where he's being an asshole to be an asshole and is aware that he's being an asshole.
I see him more of a really embarrassing uncle who's a little ignorant of the way things work and just doesn't get it, you know? Like he means no harm, but you still wouldn't want him to make you a toast!
I fall more in bealoser's camp. Michael is an idiot, but he's a clueless idiot who *sometimes* means well. Yeah, he's self-serving and selfish, but not in a cruel way. Just more like in an idiotic way. If that makes any sense.
That being said, I found this video hilarious. I guess it's just the context of Michael's misery.
