Do you think it would spoil The Sound of Music if they did a modern version?

I think it would be spoilt. Like The Italian Job, the original was brilliant, a classic. But the modern one... Well.. A good movie but nothing like the original. I think if they keep to original movies they would be so much better.

Uh there's no need actually. The movie itself is timeless.

They should make an actual movie about the von Trapps...I'd be more interested in that.

There's no reason to update it into a new movie version. If you want to see different actors portray the parts, go see it on stage. It's never as good.
