The Sounds are the best people ever, I worship them and you must too + my awesome experience of them

So the events that I will go on to describe make sense, I will preface my story by saying that I follow The Sounds on MySpace, commenting once every two days without fail (well, almost), and have established myself as one of, if not the, biggest fan of theirs. I also call myself 'Sheila' on MySpace, though it is not my name, because it is a joke I have with a friend of mine that that is my name, because of the Sheila's Wheels car insurance adverts. Also, I have never mentioned in a comment to The Sounds that Sheila is not my real name. Now I'll get on with the story.... Last Wednesday The Sounds performed a gig in London, at a venue in Soho called The Borderline. I attended and stood right at the front because I love The Sounds with a mad passion. While waiting for them to take to the stage, I saw a man walking through the crowd to the toilet, and was convinced it was Felix Rodriguez, the guitarist from the band. I followed him apprehensively, as I wasn't sure if it was him because I'd only glanced at his face and nobody else was taking any notice of him. Nonetheless, I waited outside the loos while he was in there, just to check. Eventually he left the toilet, and it was definitely Felix. "Oh my God, it's you!" I said, so articulately. The next 30 seconds or so consisted of him looking slightly overwhelmed while I praised him profusely, saying slightly creepy things like "Seriously, I think you're the master of the Universe. I worship you. Your fingers are awesome." Eventually I realised how weird I sounded, so decided to make small talk. I asked what time they were coming on stage and he told me nine, and we chatted for a short amount of time. Then I suddenly remembered the showercaps I had brought with me to the concert. I had decorated them with messages saying how much I love the band, and was planning to throw them on stage. I had also mentioned them in a myspace comment to The Sounds. I decided to tell Felix about them. "I've made these showercaps and-- " He stopped me mid sentence. 'Wait a second, are you Sheila?" he asked with a smile that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :D "Yes!" I cried in return. Suddenly he opened his arm and gave me a massive hug. "I read your comments all the time!" He said. "Really?" "Yes! You're such a big fan you have to be standing at the front tonight, dance around and stuff!" I was so deliriously happy by this time that I was almost lost for words. I told him where I was standing at the front and asked him if he'd wear the showercaps. He said he would if I handed them to him. I managed to stay surprisingly calm during our conversation, but as soon as I'd shaken his hand and said goodbye I sprinted back to my friend and just started screaming my head off. Really screaming, because I was just so incredibly elated. Then the band came on stage and I was standing right below the keyboard and synth player/beautiful man, Jesper. I stood smiling up at him during the first song (it was Living in America, they always open with that when they play England) and he just gave me the biggest smile back that I'd ever seen. I was seriously happy. During the third song I was looking at Felix, beaming because I was thinking about our earlier conversation, when he noticed me and smiled back, even though he was on the other side of the stage. Then the song ended, and Felix was still smiling at me. Suddenly he pointed at me and announced, "You, over there!" into his microphone. The entire band and audience turned to face me. "What's your name?" he continued (though he did know my fake name, I think he was just checking it was me as I looked slightly different to when we'd talked because I'd taken off my hat). "Sheila," I lied (I didn't give my real name because then he'd think I was lying about being the girl who always commented them on MySpace, and I was actually some random mediocre fan.) "Sheila," he said, "give me those showercaps." I handed one to the lead singer, Maja, and she passed it on to Felix, who then put it on his head. I then handed the other two to Maja again, and she read them, laughed, then distributed them to the rest of the band. "This song's for you Sheila," Felix said, looking at me, "We dedicate it to you!" The band then broke into one of their most famous and amazing songs, Rock n Roll. Maja sang it to me. During the other songs she often looked at me and smiled. It was seriously brilliant. Then, during another of their classics, Fire, she held the microphone to my mouth three times. It was SO COOL. I'm pretty sure everyone else in the crowd envied me massively. I got to sing the end of the song. :D At the end of Fire Maja shouts, and it was kindo scary because she did it in my face and made a scary expression to startle me, because it was hilarious. It worked and I squealed and staggered back a bit, and she laughed. It was very amusing. At the end of the concert Maja grabbed my hand and looked at me and smiled, which was really cool. God, they're so amazing! So there's my little article of praise. I think anyone who bothered to read to the end can tell why I love them even more now, and why Wednesday was the best night of my life. Seriously, how nice of them was it to do that? They were in no way obliged to be as nice as that, but they were because they're just amazing people. So that's why you should love them like I do. Because they're the masters of the Universe!
