Kathryn was more faithful and kinder towards him, so he must have felt more love in Mary than Elizabeth because Henry thought Anne was unfaithful to him and plotting against him.
I chose Elizabeth for a number of reasons. At first, Henry might of hated her for not being a male, the hated her later for being related to "the witch" Anny Boleyn, but I still feel he loved her more. She was smart, intelligent, clever and pretty. She would make any father proud. It is aslo said that on the day of his wedding to Jane Seymour (no more then a week after Anne's execution) Henry was having trouble not thinking of Anne. I'm not sure if this is true. Henry liked Elizabeth more wether he knew it oor not
Henry I believe loved both daughters late in life, his sixth wife the one that out lived him Katherine Parr was a great advocate in bringing his daughters together at Court and that is why they became heiresses in his will. But when they were younger, Mary was the star and had much love poured onto her until Henry divorced her mother and she just became Lady Mary.
When Elizabeth arrived Lady Mary became her Lady-In-Waiting, a total down grade of position, again with Henry's roving eye he had to get rid of Anne and when she died Elizabeth lost her rights as Princess and down graded as Lady Elizabeth. When Henry's third wife Jane Seymour bore him a son EdwardVI all Henry's love went on his son. The girls would of seen him a court, but most of their lives would of been spent in their own establishments outside of London. But to conclude Henry loved his children - but maybe EdwardVI more as he was the long awaited son.
Definately Mary. Mary was his only child for so long. He spoiled her constantly and was very affectionate towards her before he divorced Katherine. Mary was also an excellent bargaining chip for Henry in the beginning because he could promise her hand in marriage in exchange for something else. Since many countries did not recognize the validity of Henry's marriage to Anne,Elizabeth would not have been as useful in this aspect.
Both, though a little more Elizabeth maybe...Since his love for Anne was far greater then that for Katherine as he DID separate himself from Rome for her sake and thus loved her more than Katherine when "he was blowing hot".
I couldnt find a better picture of Elizabeth....x
