So here's the thing, Elena loves Stefan, but is drawn to Damon. I find this sad, she dumps the caring Matt for doing nothing, only because she fancies Mr.Salvatore. They fall in love bla bla bla, and then Elena is introduced to Damon, Stefan's older and seductive brother, very hot i must say. But she doesn't just get rid of Stefan because they have this unique bond and plus Damon creeps Elena out. So, here's my question, should Damon have ELena, is he trying his best to get eh love-feeling back because she looks like Katherine? Should Stefan have Elena because they have this unique bond that can't be broken? Or should Stefan and Damon never exist and Matt and ELena live happily ever after as mortals? Although that would mean no Stefan and Damon rivalry which would not be good! Help me out here!

This is my opinion about why Damon should win Elena:
Damon is a much more complicating character than Stefan. He is strong, intelligent, always wears a mask to hide his true feelings and in the beginning he is being presented to us as the bad guy who is proved not to be so bad after all. In reality, if we look a bit deeper, we will find out that Damon hides much more behind that mask than we know.
One thing is certain: the main feelings are pain and rejection. While still human, Damon was constantly overshadowed by his little brother, Stefan. He loved his mother very much, yet she had to die in order to bring his little brother to life. As a young adult, their father expresses preference towards Stefan, he constantly has huge arguments with Damon who just stands up to who he is, and if it wasn't for Katherine, he would already have kicked him ouy of the house. But in the end even Katherine admitted she always loved Stefan more.
Damon is a powerful vampire and his Power should have been able to provide him everything, all that he ever wanted, but not everything depends on Power. Love is an emotion that is conquered not handed. And when yo love someone you give...

Hello, my name is BuffyFaithfan1, and I watched the first ep. of The Vampire Diaires (TVD) and I really enjoyed it!

Tho I've never read her books, even tho I really wanted to, just never borrowed/bought them! So yesterday I got my hands, FINALLY!!!, on TVD: The Awakening and The Struggle (the omnibus edition with books one and two put into one/the club icon!) and its WAY BETTER than the show in my eyes!
