The Veronicas hit the UK

Okay, so I live in the UK and my friend and I have been huge fans of The Veronicas for over a year. The deal is, The Veronicas were basically unheard of in this country, I didn't know a single person apart from my friend who had heard any of their music.

Now, I honestly don't know whether to be pleased or VERY annoyed at the fact that The Veronicas are huge here. Their single Untouched is now in the top 40, I'm assuming it will be in the top 10 if not number 1 at the popularity of it.

The problem is, that now EVERYBODY listens to them. Seriously, in my business class all the chavs[seebelowplz] practically rape the song, it gets abused and listened to constantly. While this may sound like a good thing, the general music chavs listen to tend to be heavily edited, one hit wonders and often just not good songs.

On a good note though, if The Veronicas get more popular it's likely they'll go on tour here, where they haven't been before, so I'm IMMENSELY pleased at that.

This is probably me just wanting to enjoy the Veronicas with my friends and it being an 'us' thing, honestly most of the music we listen to nobodies heard of them. I should be MUCH more pleased :D

chavs:if you're in the UK you should know what this is, if anywhere else you may not. Just google, or wikipedia. My american friend says they're like Jocks, but they seem like nice people to me. Anywho, this isn't me hating chavs. Some are nice people :D

I live in the UK too, and I share the same sentiments as you.

I never knew whether to be happy that it meant they would be touring over here, or kind of pissed that now they're THE THING when nobody cares what they sound like... just that they're what they've been told to listen to :o\
