Anyone else out there as anxious as I am to see another X-Files movie?? I believe that just enough time has passed that people would welcome it. *I hope, I hope*

Bring on number 2!!!!! :P

annnnnnnnnd I don't think that really needs anything else. lol.

I'm torn.
See, obviously I would LOVE to have more X-Files in the world (who wouldn't?), but I also am wary of the idea of any continuence of such a beloved series/film.
I've always had a thing with sequels (they are VERY rarely as good as the original) and I wouldn't want anything like that to happen with something that I love so much.
...But that first part of me still wants more. :)

ohhh yeah I totally see your point. I would be happy with a monster-of-the-week like movie. I don't think it would work if they continued the story line or anything.... hahaha, especially since at the end Mulder and Scully ended up on the run from the FBI! But yeah, it would have to be a REALLY good script.

Haha, talk about taking forever to reply. Sorry, I forgot to write back. Am forgetful.
Anyway, yeah, a monster-of-the-week movie would be awesome! But I don't think that would work very well either considering most of those cases are really left unanswered. Damn. But I do think that the world needs more good supernatural tv shows/movies. Good ones. Not shite ones. Like, if you ever want to watch a movie about something unusual it's either going to be really crap and have insanly under-reasearched information, OR it's going to be crap and be all "like omg there's this hot chick in her underwear and then this gross monster guy with, like, red eyes comes and slashes her up." and people like us are sitting there going "Dude, this isn't even up to my guilty-pleasure standards... and they're pretty low!"
Point being that The X-Files was so amazing and I wish that it could have gone on forever. If they ever do make another movie I have no idea how'll they'll go about it. There are so many things to take into account now and such high standards to top.

I'm hesistant on celebrating X-Files 2 because part (okay, most) of the excellent of the first movie was the sexual tension between Scully and Mulder...but now Scully and Mulder have a baby together! What's left to do?

And they BETTER not have the baby now be a kid and run around being a vital part to the plot like 'The Mummy Returns 2'. I would shoot someone if they did.

I heard that it's going to be set sometime during season 5 or 6 ish and that it will be a stand alone.

I'm mostly curious about how they're going to un-age DD and GA by 10 years... I guess they can do anything in film, though...

I'm VERY excited. :)

I want to believe, again! Can't wait to see how my two old friends have fared over the past few years. All those crazy, wonderful adventures that they took me on during that series run. I am looking forward to seeing how creative Chris Carter was on X2.
