[i]Titanic
? Most people know the Titanic to be the ill fated ship on her maiden voyage. Well, that's how it went, right?
No, direct James Cameron went to extremes to film a movie that retold that story, but with a twist.
He spent time and money to get information as true as possible (eg: MIR 1 and MIR 2 are real Russian deep sea submersibles that Cameron used to film real footage such as the suite, the sea bed, the piano and so on)
He also found two absolutely brilliant actors (Kate and Leo) to play the main characters.
I loved this movie and how Cameron has tried to make it as real as possible, except for the whole Rose/Jack relationship. He used main passengers from the sinking (Ida and Isador Strauss, JJ Astor and his wife Madeline, and the ships crew)
The effects used were really great and had me convinced for years that it was the real Titanic sinking.

Sorry about this article it probably stinks but its a bit of an opinion, i guess...LOL

I liked your review and agree with you mostly.
Titanic is the first movie in my life that I watched in the cinema. Maybe that's the reason that I was impressed from and adore it this much but I'm sure that Kate and Leo did a great job here. I've watched and read about the steps of the production and filming of Titanic. Not only for actors, but also for all the shooting and production team, that was so difficult. They really created something adorable. Ofcourse I should mention James Cameron, the brain of everything.
Thanks for giving us the greatest movie in the world!
