RECAP: I raised an eyebrow at him again; "Because what?" I asked. Duncan gulped before looking deep into my eyes and answering me; "...I'm in love with you, Rikki..." he responded.

My jaw practically detached from my head when I heard Duncan’s words; “Duncan…do you really…” Those were the only words that came out of my mouth before the Juvie boy placed a finger over my lips; with a sweet smile, he pulled me into a kiss. I blushed intensely before I kissed back, wrapping my arms around him; “Duncan’s…in love…with me?” I thought in disbelief. A part of me wasn’t totally surprised by what I had heard since Duncan had been coming after me for…well, ever since I met him, but I still couldn’t believe he just said he’s in love with me; out of all of the guys I could think of that ever had feelings for me, he was the very first who actually said the words ‘I’m in love with you…’ to me. RECAP: Duncan smirked at me some more as his body slowly pressed up against mine; "Well, well, well...had a change of heart, have we?" he asked slyly as he looked into my eyes. I smiled back the exact same way, and shrugged; "Dunno; you tell me..." I whispered back to him before pulling him into a deep kiss.

I felt Duncan’s heartbeat get faster, but her soon pulled me closer to him. I smirked into the kiss a little, and pressed my body closer to him, loving every second of the moment between us. A moment or so into the kiss, I felt Duncan grab my ass with both hands; normally, that would make me really upset, but at this point, I really couldn't help but smile. "Duncan... He's the only one who's made me feel so great in, like...forever..." I thought. Sooner or later, Duncan and I somehow ended up laying on the floor, where Duncan had me pinned down as he kissed me just as aggressively and passionately as I was kissing him. Soon, we pulled away from each other, looking deeply into one other's eyes; I don't know about Duncan, but it didn't take long for me to get lost in those gorgeous, blue-green eyes...

No one talks to her when she arrives. Instead, they all avert their eyes, mumbling amongst themselves as she passes. No laughter. No comments about how she deserved everything she got on that forsaken island. No point in telling someone something that they already know.
She can feel their stares on her back, and she knows that their eyes are all dulled with a silent, burning hatred. It doesn't bother her or make her angry, although she knows it should. In any other case, she would direct some biting comment at them, but there is a certain numbness that restrains her from doing anything at all.
She receives her key and walks stiffly to her room, not bothering to slam the door shut in some immature tantrum. She does not take any comfort in the fact that her new temporary living quarters are clean, free of mosquitoes, and actually kind of nice. She just lets her bag fall to the carpeted floor, slips off her shoes, and curls up on her bed, creating wrinkles in the blood red sheets. For the first two hours, she does not rage.
