Wait a second, Bill has kids. Is there any interaction?

Hi, I'm just a watcher of the T.V. show so to the readers of the book I have a question (or to viewers who caught something I did not).

Before Bill was turned, he had a family. Does he ever try to find his great great grandchildren?

Obviously he doesn't want to visit and say, "Hi I'm your super undead great great grandpa." But does he ever talk about it in the books?

Just curious.

In the books Bill does become aware he has living descendants in Bon Temps and he does interact with them.
I'd elaborate but I read something in one of Alan Ball's interviews that leads me to believe that they'll be addressing this on the show in Season 3 ;)
