Kinda hard to answer but I think why most people love eric is because of his character and what eventually happens in the books and if and when you read the books I think you'll know what I'm talkin' about. But he eventually gets it on w/ Sookie and since Bill wronged her I guess it kinda puts Eric in a good light plus NO DOUBT HE'S SEXY AS HELL!!!EVEN IN THE BOOKS.

Though Eric is *mostly* shown as the "bad guy" on the show, his character is actually alot more dynamic than the facade he puts up as the ruthless vampire sheriff of area 5.
In the books he starts off as an arrogant, often vulgar superior vampire to Bill, and as the books progress we get little instances where he's actually shown having a much softer side then he lets on. This is witnessed in the hotel when he cleaned Sookie up (book 2) and at the mansion after the staking (book 3). Then something happens in the 4th book that leaves his character completely unguarded and vulnerable and Sookie is able to see what his personality is like without all the excess vampire layers he's built up over the years. I think the 4th book is the one that won most people over on his character. He's still by no means a "nice guy" but we learn after awhile neither is Bill, Eric is just more upfront about it lol. |

Eric is a negative character but still he has a passionate and dynamic personality.his eyes speaks more than his words.he's very charming and girls are kinda attracted to bad boys.i think he was much better in longer hair look.
