OK I know I'm not supposed to do this but I'm going to compare it to Buffy.
Bill is like Angel in the first season of Buffy... the guy she belongs with. Also: the guy that annoys me. Lucky me; Angel went off to have his own show and Spike came into the picture.
If it were up to me, I'd let Bill do the same. Just get gone to leave room for some kick ass bad hottie (so, preferably not Sam).

Coming into this conversation late, I'm going to say Bill. The guy at the bar is a killer. Well, then again, bill has probably killed his fair share. But Bill wouldn't hurt her, I don't think. The other guy would.
I mean think about it, if you had to choose between Ted Bundy or Bill?
In any case it should be Bill or Eric, for more options read the book.
But since Charlaine Harris isn't sure herself yet (she says so on her website) no one can tell. I'd love it to be Bill, but from the way the storyline goes - no chance.
until we find the truth about sam i think we all wanted her with bill which i love bill but now im starting to like sam after we find out what he is an his true feelings for sookie b/c for a while i thought he might of been the killer....
in the books i want her to end up wit the a shifter but i dnt get my wish so i dnt knw who she shud end up wit haha o well sadness its no fair no fair no fair
Too Soon to Tell beause we haven't seen enough of Eric. But going with the books, I have to say Eric. And Visitor, I totally agree with you. I've thought of Bill as Angel and Eric as Spike. I know they're two different shows, but I can't help compair them because they're both vampire stories I've loved. Bill's Sookie's first love and Eric's her adult, lasting love. I so want Eric to turn her. :)
Well Eric, I think they have just great chemistry on screen...even when she slaps him. If you have read the books than you know she belongs with Eric, they just have the story you want. I liked Bill for like 5 minutes, Sam is second for sure.
Depends on where they take the story. Naturally the books make me biased for Eric, and consequently also makes Bill look like a huge douche, and even though there have been some little easter eggs thrown out as clues (the queen knowing Sookie by name alone when talking to Bill that was a HUGE clue) no one knows if the show will follow completely.
i havent read the books so cant say as im only going by what ive seen on the tv series ..bill's ok, eric's a rebel and i have a soft spot for dogs aka Sam :p could go either way.
