Chapter 8: Secrets
(Bella)
We hadn’t seen much if any of Alice for the last two weeks besides the random moments when she’d dash through the living room and up the stairs or down the stairs and out the door. I was beginning to miss her. Everything was way too quiet without her little trills of excitement and sideways jokes toward Edward and the other boys. In a way I was worried. Worried about Alice’s well being, about what she may have seen that she wasn’t telling anyone. Worried. Today would be the first day I saw her for more than a few seconds, only, seeing her in this state wasn’t something I wish to remember.
She stormed down the stairway, Jasper on her heels, his face pleading while hers was stern, very unlike her. I rose from my seat staring blankly between the two of them.

I sighed. “Very well then, but Edward need I remind you that we don’t trust a lot of humans with our secret” He said. I looked at Edward confused, but he juts continued to stare at Aro. “I know...but I have no intensions of turning Bella” he replied. I looked at Edward shocked. “You don’t have a choice you have to... we wouldn’t want to have to come down to Fork’s” Aro threatened. Edward sighed. “Very well then” Edward agreed. I smiled at this. “Well we hope to see you soon...Say hello to Carlisle for me” Aro said. Edward smiled and then nodded. “But before you do go...you power would be a great advantage to us here” he said. I didn’t understand at first. “No thank you” Edward replied. “Alice, Bella?” he said. I looked up my mouth wide open, Edward was confused to. “Me?” I asked. Aro smiled. “Bella, you ‘power’ is a great plus to you I’m sure” he said looking at Edward. “And it would be to us to” he said. I smiled. “No thank you” I said. Alice just shook her head and then started walking to the door. Edward followed...
