Twilight the Movie- yeah admit it, it sucked!!!!!!

OKAY! So I don't really know how to start. We, that is, Arielle and Kendal, believe that, for one thing, Robert Pattison is ugly. (sorry die hard rob fans) Also most of the characters were poorly portrayed, such as Mike, Angela, Jessica, Tyler, and Eric. Lauren wasn't even in the movie. Forks was supposed to be a small school, made up of small, house-like buildings. Alice was friendly, but not bubbly and outgoing as she was in the book. The field trip threw us off, and they left out how Bella fainted in Biology because of the blood. Most of the vampire, especially jasper, looked like they were on some sort of illegal substance. The werewolves all looked like hobos. They never mentioned Jasper's extra talent (dirty, hehe)and they never said anything about Carlisle's past, which is a major part of the entire series. Edward was not calm and collected as he was in the book, instead he was nervous and always stuttering. They cut out the whole meadow scene, which started the book in the first place. The major kissing scene with the unattractive underwear was awkward at best. They stared blankly at each other for 27 seconds before closing the gap. And Bella, in the movie, knew she was going to prom. In the book, she would have thrown a bitch fit. The dialogue was strange, and didn't flow smoothly. During most of the "romantic" scenes we bursted out laughing even worse than the rest because it was so cheesy. Seriously, the people behind us were annoyed because we were laughing so hard, they even resorted to kicking Kendal's chair. Where are people's manners, may I ask you? Then, the funniest part of all, was when James tried to suffocate Edward. What is the point, I ask you. Neither of them need to breathe! Bloody hell they're vampires. They're dead. Honestly, grab them where it hurts! (wink wink, nudge nudge, giggle giggle, hee hee, cough cough, heh heh, sigh.....) (we've been saying that for two years, yes, we're odd ones) Rosalie and jasper were refered to as the cullens, when they were supposebly the hales. got some weird incest thing going on there. There was hardly anything about Jake (not that I mind too much) Then, in the hospital, Bella's heart rate should have gone flying when Edward kissed her, but no, she was as cool as a kangaroo in antarctica.

Your article has no paragraphs. I thought I'd point that out.

Anyway, I agree that the movie sucked, but for mostly different reasons. Of course there would be changes, combining the roles of Jessica and Lauren for one.

Plus you didn't hear what they were saying in the meadow and the rest of the time they spent climbing trees. EW! Spider Monkey!!!

meh
Everything that was supposed to happen in the meadow, happened at just some random spot in the woods. It was supposed to be special, and an extremely important scene in the book, yet they killed it completely by squashing it down. They got the point across, but that was really one of the parts they should have taken their time with.

I have a question. Why would you read an article that you know is only going to annoy you? We clearly stated that we did not like the movie in the article description. Seriously, I'm curious. No sarcasm here. Is it just to rate it down? (Not written sarcastically) One thing I hate about computers, you can never tell if people are serious or not. One of the great things of fanpop is that you can celebrate your likes and dislikes with people who feel the same way. We just happen to feel this way.

I think they read it to A) either see if we justify our opinion, or B) to post their opinion, which is what this really about.

UMMM... The book was WAAAY better than the movie, but the movie was still good. Atleast they stayed somewhat true to Stephenie Meyer's vision. There's no fangs and no goth vampires. It could've been better, but it could've been alot worse

i agree..although i do think the movie was average but there were so many parts which are significant in the book which are not shown in the movie..such as bella's piano piece that edward wrote based on her..and the meadow scene!

I totally disagree, although respect your opinion, but dont you think your views might be a little narrow minded though, with regard to the making of a film. They did their best to make a movie...its not meant to be a literal interpretation of the book. Compared to something like the Harry Potter movies, which are ridiculously different to the books, I found this to be pretty similar. Of course the scenes are different and things like that, but all the major elements are there. Im not sure why a lot of people are so angry about Lauren, she's a pretty insignificant character, and I dont think she would have added anything to be honest. I dont know, maybe its because the books are so amazing, and Stephenie Meyer writes in such a way that we all have our own idea of how it should look.

I'm not too mad about Lauren, just the idea of her. She (and the other human friends) didn't give the backup that the movie needed. Obviously the vampires are the center of the story, but there are so many little problems Bella is thinking about as well. It almost seemed like they just added the human characters to make it closer to the book, but the movie really wouldn't have been much different without them, save the trip to Port Angeles.

the film could of been better, but people loved the book so much they had high expectations. i like the film and some parts were abit awkward and could of been done better. but they only have a certain amount of time to get the whole book onto the screen. i loved the book and im looking forward to the next film.

I enjoyed the movie and agree with Josevanders, that books 2 movie interpretations are not always perfect, but I think they stuck 2 the source material fairly well. I liked Kristen Stewart as Bella I thought she did a really good job @ playing her, @ I thought Robert Pattison was great as Edward! I also thought that their relationship could of been portrayed a bit more fun like it is in the book other than that I really loved the movie :)

I might upset alot of people but I agree to majority of what obsessorgrl says. They cut a hell of alot of important scenes! I mean if they are going to make the other three movies based on the books then they need to stick with alot of what the book says. Carlise's past is very important because he changed every person except for Alice,Jasper, and Bella. And not to mention the fact that he partly introduced the Volturi!!! I mean if they want the other movies to be better then they need to stick with the plot and important parts of the books! I don't mean to include every freaking detail from the book on the movie but still! I still Love the movie but they needed to keep important scenes.

I do agree that the book was better than the movie. Although I really actually did enjoy the movie.
I do have to say that I agree with several parts of the article.
Such as:
-The meadow scene wasn't as significant in the movie as it was in the book.
-The kissing scene wasn't as romantic as expected.
-The 'James trying to suffocate Edward' thing. That was pretty pointless, considering the fact that they don't breath.

But other than those minor details, I think they keep as faithful to the book as possible.
It is very hard to make a book-movie adaption, but I believe that it was a fantastic effort. And the movie rocked !
Can't wait for New Moon !!!

I totally agreee with you!! I cannot believe how the people can love the movie, when it has not even a little bit of the real relationship between Bella and Edward, and... the characters... c'mon!! I know they're vampires, but.. why that death face?? That's not how it is described in the book.
Or well, at least, the principal characters SUCKED! I did not liked them!!! They where the worst in my opinion!!look: Emmet was as smiling as always, Esme had that sweet mother-like face, Carlile (I rally liked him), and Charlie -even when the lines in the movie where not on the book. I think he made a great job interpreting his character... BUT Edward and Bella.... Bella looked like a b*tch and Edward, like an ice, even when he was suposed to change because of his love for Bella. And the dialogues SUCKED!!

i loved the movie! it was so horribly made that it was hilarious! comedy movies are my favorite :) waaayyy better then the book! i loved the part where edward was sparkling! that was hilarious! and me and my friends fell out of our seats laughing so hard when bella responded, "you're beautiful." i loved it how they tried to make everything so dramatic, it was really funny. it's hard to tell if they actually tried to make this movie like the book, or if they made this movie to make fun of the book. haha. :'D
