I honestly didn't hate it, but i was dissappointed. The whole thing read like fanfiction to me: cute, but not the conclusion i wanted to hear for my beloved Bella and Edward. The wedding/honeymoon business was very cute. i really loved it. The second Carlisle said Bella was pregnant my heart just sank. How could SM do that to me?

I turned the page to see Jacob's perspective, *groan*. I like Jacob, but i didn't want to spend the final installment of the twilight saga in the mind of "what could have been". Surprisingly enough, Jacob was quite funny and i enjoyed his part a lot. I thought it was lame how he just gave up fighting for bella and his hatred for vampires in like ONE chapter. My Jacob wouldn't do that. After that, Jacob was painted as a spineless and lovesick character who inevitably loses. Also, i can't lie, i was totally rooting for a Leah/Jacob hookup. During these chapters, I felt like Bella was nothing more than a stupid, weak, little human. Her "self sacrificing" proctectivness put a strain on her and Edward's relationship (namely, deleting any edward/bella time completely except for a brief hand holding session). Rosalie was utterly obnoxious in her baby-frenzy. I am surprised Emmett didn't twist her into a pretzel.

But then, omigod, that CREATURE was born. i was completely disgusted by the whole scene (not in a BAD I-hate-this-book sort of way, but in a Ew-Bella-is-leaking-all-over-the-cullen-house sort of way) They named her, Renesmee, and i laughed, thinking that is exactly what a 12 year old fanfic writer would name the Bella/Edward lovechild. AND THEN, *triumphant trumpets sounding* Jacob imprints! I literally laughed for 10 minutes! It was weird and kinda lame, but totally unexpected, and for that, I applaud SM.

Then, Bella was changed. During this part i was brought back to last summer, reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Harry "died". After her transformation, i truly was proud of Bella. Afterall, she'd gotten what she'd wanted. An eternity with Edward and a child for both of them to love. Not to mention intense beauty, super speed and strength, and no "newborn cravings" to control. Wasn't this what i'd expected for breaking dawn? Wasn't this what I, an obsessed Edward/Bella fan, dreamed of? It was. But it didn't feel the same. They would be happy, i knew that, but the wonder of Bella and Edward's awe-striking relationship was that all they needed to be happy was one another. But now they had a child to focus on, and i felt like i didn't get to see the happily married couple who could conquer the world as long as they had eachother.

During the period directly after Bella's transformation, i began to feel whole again. The Thing hadn't been mentioned in a while and i was home-free to enjoy some quality B/E time. The hunting chapter was very cute, and i enjoyed Bella's birthday too. Bella and Edward finally had safe (by every meaning of the word) and unyielded sex. I was happy for them because i'd feared their physical relationship would be less strong after the...."baby". Next came Emmett's sexual innuendos, which were honestly some of the funniest quotes of the twilight saga. It was good to see a more human sex-craved side of my favorite immortal (and old-fashioned) family.

Jacob and Nessie's relationship continued to blossom. It was cute to see a compassionate side of Jacob, but I always saw him as the "Smart-alecky-sex-appeal" of the series. To say the least, i was Jacob-starved.

Then the whole Volturi business began. Their return seemed inevitable, but it just added to the many reasons i despised the..."child". As soon as i'd read that Alice and Jasper (went and r-u-n-n-o-f-t) bolted, i felt betrayed. Dear Alice, the purest of the loyal, headstrong characters i'd grown to admire, left her family at the news of their death sentence. I just wanted to pull out her stupid, spiky, little hair and gag Jasper with it. But who needs 'em? certainly not me. so i read on.

The gathering of the "witnesses" was quite interesting, and i especially enjoyed the part where Renesmee referred to Edward as "Daddy" for the first time. Maybe this kid wasn't so bad afterall? The Voluri arrived and within 5 minutes automatically believed Bella and Edward's story. Then why the hell are they sticking around?! It made absolutely no sense. Sure they claimed to want "justice" and everyone knew that but honestly, we all knew how it would end. get on with it. Finally, it looked like the Cullens weren't going to win afterall. Bella's pessimistic assesment of the situation and tearful goodbye to Edward, Jacob, and Nessie had me bawling. Why? this wasn't the goodbye i was anticipating at all! Before i began the book i had prepared myself for a different one. Bella was supposed to be leaving Jacob and all of Forks to live as a vampire with edward! that was the emotion i was ready for. But no, lame as it was, SM's magical words had me emotional for a character i didn't even care for. Yeah, i was impressed too.

Just as the pressure was building up, the lovely Alice and Jasper arrive gracefully. (of course.) I was so glad. Even though Bella had been following Alice's "clues" i still couldn't get out of my brain that she up and left town! Super Alice saves all of vampire-(and 'shape-shifter') kind and everyone lives happily ever after.

Right? Bella and Edward can live at peace with their family and co exist with their human friends. Bella has perfected her talent and is now unstoppable! Edward finally finds a way to read Bella's mind, and the two (err....three) of them are free to live in a cutesy little cottage in Forks (which Bella and Edward will hopefully 'knock down' according to Emmett)

So Now, that i've ranted for ages over why i didn't care for this book, i'd figure i'd break it down nice-n-easy for those who are very err....human, as Edward would say:

Top Ten Things In 'Breaking Dawn' That Bugged Me
10. The concept of a Bella/Edward lovechild...too bizarre!
9.Jacob's entire loss of personality after Nessie was born.
8.Wtf happened to Quil and Embry? no happy ending for Jacob & his best boyfriends?!
7.Marcus' boredom.... that guy need's some "South Park" in his life!
6. Charlie is on a "need to know" basis!
5. Charlie is totally hooking up with Seth's mom!
4. Leah needs to read COSMO. she can't keep asking Jacob about her 'lady problems'
3. Renesmee's name. COME ON!
2. Two words....JAZZ & EM?!
1. The Volturi's dominance over all mythical creatures! Come on, let's just have Aro hold hand's with Hermione and Casper and we can all get along!

Top Ten Best Things In 'Breaking Dawn'
10. Jacob's Preface. Life Sucks, and then you die. "Yeah, i should be to lucky!"
9. Leah Clearwater.
8. Seth's utter adoration for the Cullens. the kid probably has a 'Cullen family' Calendar in his room.
7. Edward tears lingerie. Nice.
6. Jacob's chapter names. 'Waiting for the damn fight to start!' & 'Sure as hell didn't see that one coming'
5. The Wedding. no snide comment here. it was utterly perfect.
4. Emmett and Rosalie can knock down some houses! *wink**wink*
3. "You've been holding out on me."
2. Emmett's sports announcements, "well it's about time *someone* scored around here"
1. Edward like's it rough. he destroys headboards, pillows, and bedframes!

So I agree with you in a lot of ways. Bella book one was excellent I thought but the baby thing totally threw me off and then for it to be all about jacob for so many chapters was insane. I really felt like Bella became a totally different character while she was pregnant and I didnt know her anymore. After the kid was born I felt it got better but it seemed it was more like everyones baby instead of Bella and Edwards. The imprinting thing was ridiculous i wanted it to be Leah. I felt the book was thrown together and and didnt fit together with the first three but all in all I got my happy ending and thats what matters to me. I really cant wait to see if they make a movie out of that one. lol

i agree with you on most points.
i loved the beginning with the wedding and the honeymoon, but when she found out she was pregnant i was like *gasp* that's really super weird! i actually liked the part in jaco's point of view the best. it was really funny, and , to be honest, i needed a break from bella. she was really bugging me in the end of eclipse and (sort of but not as much) in the beginning of breaking dawn. the jacob part was really good, and like more emotional and stuff. like i was crying when jake thought bela was dying, even though i dont like bella much, i was just so sad for jake (i love him). the whole baby(ish) being born part was kind of gross, but still a good part of the book. then it was back to bella, and i liiked her a whole lot more after she was changed, cos she was kind of more equal with edward (it bugged me before when she was like all human and un-special). and it was cool that she had self-control like right away. i agree with Cullen03, bella was like a totally different character in this whole book! it made it feel like not even part of the series, in a way. and then jacob imprints on Renesme (name buggs me a LOT) and that was sooo happy for me, cos i wanted jake to have his own happy ending so bad! i thought it was really cute how he was all attarched to her, but it kndadid change his character a lot. and then he started being all nice to the cullens and stuff which threw me off afte thewhole part where he wanted to kill them and all. but still. but i loved all of emmett's sex innuendos! tey were hilarious and like some ofthe best twilight quotes ever (funny wise) "at least *someone's* scoring tonight" heheh. but seriously, "em and jazz"? im sorry, but jasper does NOT seem like a "jazz" to me! jaspersall like cool and tall and mysterious. "jazz" didnt' fit at all. "em" was a little better. i liked all the volturi part. it was cool how they put together all the different witnesses and stuff. it was refreshing to have some new characters in the series. and all of the gifts they had ws really interesting. and bella's sheild was cool.
the big thing for me was the in-between parts. it seemed like there was like one big event and then a whole bunch o;f kind of boring repettive in between stuff and then another big event. that was mostly for the second bella part. the first bella part and jacob's part wasnt like that so much. things just got kinda slow after bella had the baby and was bitten and stuff. i dont know. i loved the book, but it was soo different from the other ones that it didnt seem like part of the same series. oh well. i still liked it a lot. i read nonstop all day today!

I loved the book for the most part. Didn't leave me feeling empty like Harry Potter 7 did (huge letdown) I wasn't to crazy about Jazz. I think if SM wanted to incorporate nicknames she should have done it in a previous book like she did with Rosalie in NEW MOON. I think then people would have been more at ease with it. Plus you just don't see Jasper as a Jazz. He has always been portrayed as a VERY serious person in the book. One that has had more trouble adjusting to the lifestyle and all. Em was OK I guess. It kinda sounded girly (emmett girly ha ha) I loved the wedding and I liked the honeymoon. not rated R but not exactly PG-13 if you have an imagination you can fill in the blanks. I got a huge kick out of Emmett's "play-by-play" sports announcement. I liked the fact that Charlie was on a need to know basis for the pure and simple fact that if Charlie had been told when the Aro had read Edwards mind he would have killed Charlie so I thought that was wrappped up quite nicely.
I had a feeling that Bella would have self-control over her thirst. I didn't think that SM would portray her as blood-thirsty.
Granted I didn't like the name Renesmee. I think it would have been prettier as Esmeree. But that is my opinion. Doesn't sound quite as whimsical. (and it would go better with Carlie)
I Was pi**ed off to say the least about Alice and Jasper. I felt brtrayed and sad, and yet I still loved that little annoying vampire :). I figured that she wouldn't leave them high and dry. (They always come back no matter what book you read.)I knew that she had another agenda and she had left Bella clues just in case she failed. I so agree about Marcus he needs something to liven him up.
I also figured that Bella would have an extra something other than her ability to not rip a human to shreds. I thought that the shield was totally awesome and I loved that she reached her potential just as the immediate threat came in. Anger always pushes you too the extent of your abilities as well as love does. So it was kinda expected. Over all I really loved the book.
I was so not surprised that Bella came up pregnant. I was a little surprised by Edwards reaction but looking back how could I have expected anything but? And I knew that blood was what was needed. Vampire child and all. Even half.
I was glad that Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. It was expected and SM didn't disappoint. I didn't think that Jacob lost his personality I think that it was fuller. He was still kinda cocky but seeing as how there was ALOT of stuff going on I can see how he would be nothing but protective of the girl. I was glad he found a better more fulfilling love than he had for Bella and it only seemed right that it be her daughter. It was kinda weird when Edward called him son if you think of him as a 17 year old but as 90 plus years totally cool. And he can stay with Renesmee forever werewolf as he is and that will be absolutely fantastic.
So Stephanie Meyer rocked the house in my opinion. As with all books there are things that you won't like but as long as the story ends right that makes it worth it and I am so glad that there was no bloodshed other than Irina(traitor...turned good)
Sooo....

Oh, I so completely agree with your statement that it was like a fanfic. I literally had to stop reading the book and find other people's comments on what had happened because I was convinced that some rabid fangirl managed to swipe Stephenies manuscript and replace it with a print out of something on fanfiction.net or something. And just to keep with the fanfic theme....am I the only one who thought Renesmee (That is the most ridiculous name ever) was a complete Mary Sue?
I really liked Book 1, the wedding and the honeymoon was all very sweet...Edward broke a headboard for goodness sakes. Cute. And I really liked Jacobs book, that was shocking for me. I hated that kid in Eclipse...hated him. But then all that lovely Jacob hate came back in Book 3. Bella, and her Jacob interactions make me hate him.
Back to the baby....I understand how imprinting works. I know that Jacob isn't thinking of the kid in a sexual way, but after reading about all the times he's had fantasies about a naked Bella him imprinting on Nessie is pervy. When he gives her a promise ring for Christmas and she's only a couple of months old? YUCK! I know that he's just going to be the best friend/uncle/confidante that a kid could want until she's old enough to be a mate, but, YUCK!
And I agree with the person who posted above that it never seems like Nessie is Bella and Edward's kid....she seems like everyone's baby. When she says Momma for the first time I was shocked that there wasn't more drama, like her saying to Rosalie or someone.
And I just have one more complaint that I want to mention. When Carlisle and Edward are planning the trip to Brazil and Bella says that they are planning it behind Jacob's back because they don't want him to go and Bella is all, Jacob has a much right/need to be there as she does. That part bugged me so much...no, he does NOT have a right to be there. He may want to go to Brazil, he may miss his little (yuck) soul mate or whatever...but if Edward is planning a trip...he don't need the potential boyfriends permission to take his daughter out of the country and they certainly don't have to take him, and it would be on the Cullen's dime wouldn't it? Unless Billy and the pack have enough money to foot the bill for Jacob's trip to Brazil. I suppose he could get there by running and swimming, but if they don't want him to go he has no right to be there, despite what he may think Bella and Edward's few months old daughter is NOT his. That became a huge problem for me in the book, the fact that it seemed like whenever Bella wanted her kid she had to practically ask Jacobs permission to have her, like she already belongs to him, she's his possession instead of Edward and Bella's kid. And again, I find the whole full grown wolf imprinting on a baby really, really creepy. I know that Jacob is closer in age to Nessie than Edward is to Bella, but I think that if the way the novels went was Edward smelled and fell for Bella for the very first time when she was an infant I would be just as grossed out.

I'm not the biggest Twilight fan(I only read the first book) but Breaking Dawn doesn't sound that great. I read the plot summary on Wikipedia(go ahead and scold me) and parts of it sounded ridiculous to me. Renesmee just sounds too ridiculous of a name. I was like seriously, that's what you name your baby? But maybe I should read the actual book before I criticize it.

I forget to say something. Since when can dead people produce semen. I'm pretty sure Vampires are dead and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Stephenie Meyers said Vampires don't have bodily fluids. So how in the world can Bella get pregnant?

I agree in a lot of ways.

Overall, I loved the book but as stated above, it was very fanficiony. I couldn't believe that SM made Bella pregnent. The whole section of the book made me upset that Bella would put her life in danger by keeping the baby, and ruining her relationship with not only Edward, but most of the Cullens, her dearest friend Jacob, and everyone around her. It was a very selfish thing of her to do.

When Bella had her baby though, I couldn't hellp but fall in love with her just like everyone else, but I was upset that everything turned out so perfectly after everything looked like the end of Bella and her relationship with Edward.

The other thing that bothered me about the books was Jacob. I knew that he was going to imprint on Renesmee as soon as he was going to "test" Bella before she could see her own baby. I would have rather had Jacob end up with Leah.. both of them not imprinting, but real love.. It would have been so cute, and I felt bad for Leah because she had no happy ending in the end of the book.

That was a lot of negative thoughts, but I did enjoy the book. I think SM was trying to end the book on a happy note, and to make all the readers happy and she may have tried too hard making it seem like fanfiction..

Great Soapbox Article and Comments. :D

i really agree with everything you said! i was sad and disappointed when i found out bella was pregnant..it was just weird and i felt like innocence was just gone. i didnt want her relationship with edward to change especially because he reacted so violently to the news. and the birth was too freaking gory for my taste. i wish SM had lightened that up a tad. love seth, love leah. i thought the wolf pack stuff was unnecessary. like the splitting of the packs. i thought alice&jasper leaving as well as the j. jenks thing was unnecessary. i thought the introduction of soooooo many new characters was annoying. so many gifts and names to keep up with, it was just a bit overwhelming! it was like SM was cramming in everything. plotlines got a bit tangled for me.. things were just weird adn i felt a little uncomfortable reading it sometimes. but the part that really bothered me was how in eclipse, the emphasis on the bella jacob edward love triangle was ridiculus. this is stressed further wehn jacob shows up at the wedding and is clearly still in love with and still longing to fight for bella. yet the triangle is abandoned so quickly i found it a bit stupid! why emphasize this connection between bella and jacob so thoroughly only to have it broken as soon as she becomes a vampire! they suddenly just dont want each other at all anymore. weird yo. and it was weird how bellas perspective really didnt change much when she was a vampire. i liked that though. and i thought it was brilliant writing the middle through jacobs perspective it was really interesting and enjoyable. i hated how rose didnt care for bella and yet seh used her for the baby- bella didnt even notice this! loved jakes blonde jokes and emmetts scoring jokes. hated how alice probably said ten things through the whole book. jasper was a dick for a lot of the time. idk i thought the end was perfect- edward and bella together forever with their child. the name will continue to bother me to no end- thanks a bunch SM, you couldnt have thought of a better one!? i do loev the afforementioned esmeree- thats pretty:) but anyhoo, the end was very nice. loved the sex parts because i love any emphasis on bella and edwards love which was kinda played down what with the imprintinga nd baby and alice abandoning and all that jazz. overall, an okay book. i didnt think it lived up to the others but i enjoyed it and have closure with the characters. the others were much much better as were the plotlines but what can you do? tahnks SM for ending my favorite series of books with a bang!

Wow.
I totally agree with you on 100% of all fronts.

Except that, despite all the problems I had with it, I still love it intensely. I do. I'm so happy that all the main characters got their happy ending and I feel completely with the ending, like I'm not going to kill her for making this the end.
And I have to say... as bizarre as little Renesmee is (I refuse to call the child Nessie. Ew.) and I about peed my pants when I read that Bella was pregnant (My exact words: OMG. WTF? Is she effing kidding me? That woman is seriously effed up.) I absolutely LOVE her. I love that there is a little piece of Edward somewhere, even if she is technically an impossibility.

Oh and P.S. Might I steal your lists for my Myspace? They made me laugh =P

I love your Top Ten lists, they are hilarious. :] And i had the same thought about Jacob and Leah! I thought maybe werewolves weren't able to imprint on eachother so that was why they hadn't gotten together.

What happened mostly while I was reading was I realized what was going to happen a page before it happened. xD WIth Bella getting pregnant I realized when she was holding her Tampons, with the imprinting i realized when Bella screamed "No!", with Alice coming back i realized when Edward was getting all excited.

SM surprised and shocked me constantly but some things just didnt make sense. SM made it seem that while Bella was pregnant that Rosalie would do anything and everything for the baby, no matter what happened to Bella. But as soon as the baby was born, Rose was only really mentioned when she was holding the baby.

I agree about how Jacob was not himself... he gave up on Bella very quickly. Everything that had us worried [the love triangle, Charlie, the Volturi, Bella being a blood thirsty vampire for years] was all fixed within a matter of pages.

As soon as Bella was turned into a vampire, she didn't love Jacob the way she had while being human. She wasn't in love with him anymore because she was a vampire. And Jacob wasn't in love with Bella anymore because he imprinted. How could that love just go poof? No matter how much had changed?

Charlie was too simple. He was just on a 'need to know' basis. That was lame. Charlie has a tendency to overreact sometimes. How could he be so calm when Jacob phased? and then see Bella completely changed and just gasp?

The Volturi came and they took forever. It seemed like ages I was reading about them. [i agree about how you said why didnt they just leave after they knew the Cullens hadn't broken the law] They stayed and just seem to be like "were gonna fight you, no were not, yes we are". and then they become afraid of a newborn vampire? SM even had Jane and Alec realize that they could attack if they were under Bella's shield.

And Bella wasn't even craving blood the second she was awake from the change. She just hunted and then saw Jacob and Reneesme. [reneesme? nessie? wtf?] and then she goes and has sex with edward. [is it just me or did she become a little of a sex addict? funny though.] it was very... simple. but why was she that way?

And I couldn't believe that Edward asked Jacob to offer Bella babies of his own! My god, that shocked the hell out of me. I couldn't even comprehend at first what he was saying...

While Bella was giving birth, my god! fountains of blood? i didn't know if i could finish that part... [my sister was cringing while reading it]. i seriously hope that if they make Breaking Dawn into a movie that that scene is not as gruesome as it was in my mind. ugh.

But I will admit they I cried during the little goodbye in the clearing. When Edward finally realized what Bella had been keeping from him, when Jacob realized what he might have to do if the lost, when the other witnesses made their love vows if they survived. It was all very sad...

but i'm glad there was a happy ending. :]

[it ends with them walking into their bedroom and having somemore sex... what a shock? xD]

I was so mad at Edward for the majority of the book. He didn't get his love back from me until he realized what the child was thinking. It was a special family moment there.

He could have acted a little better. Especially about the honeymoon thing. I hated him for that.

Overall, I was fairly satisfied. I would have like Jacob (or someone that we were close to) to die though. I guess in some ways he did. He completely changed once he imprinted on Ness (Yes, I hated her name, too). I just wanted there to be some unhappily ever after. Rowling gave me that much and more with Harry Potter.

I loved how Alice beat the heck out of Rosalie when Rose tried to do Edward's job during the birth.

I think that Edward needed more of a role in the pre-birth. Rose stole all of the flame.

Question: Did Meyer ever explain how Eleazar came to join the Denali clan? How he just got up and left the Volturi?

Wow. . . I'm sorry you guys are all disappointed in the book. I LOVED IT! Everything that Bella EVER wanted, she got! Edward, Charlie, Edward, to be a vampire, Edward, Nessie, Jacob to be a part of her life, and Edward. (A little over the top? lol) But really, she even was able to be the key person who could protect the whole family, the very reason the Volteri didn't stay and fight, which is something she always wanted too. I think the book was great!
I can totally understand Bella's need to protect her unborn child, no matter what it costs her. Hey, seriously, if you were carrying Edward's child, you wouldn't kill it! lol I liked the little morbid twist on Nessies birth too. :)
Jake FINALLY met his girl. The funny thing, she looks a lot like Bella! lol But, they can spend forever together too, as long as he keeps phasing. They're soul mates! It's cute and perfect! I want more Nessie + Jacob story!
I was more than pleased with the book. I'm sad it's over. . . sigh. THANK YOU STEPHENIE MEYER!!!!!!!!! :)

i agree with cantloveyou. the charlie thing was ridiculous. he would not just be like eh ok whatever its a need to know thing. im pretty sure he'd freak.

bella is indeed a certified sex fiend lol.

and i feel like SM just crammed stuff in. like the Denalis and the immortal infant and whatnot. she should've mentioned that in a previous book instead of being like well this is the Denalis experience with immortal children and wait HEY NOW bellas gonna have one! you know? and btw, how lame was the explanation of the Denali mom and the immortal baby? no reason why she did it. it was jsut very ill planned in my opinion.

my mood has been crappy since i read the book because despite how much i loved the end, i was so unsatisfied by so many aspects of the book..how everything just was perfect. what is up with jacob imprinting on the daughter of the woman he loves?? too perfect. too much. the love triangle was dumb because it just erased all bellas angst that basically DEFINED eciplse. im just disappointed.. i feel incomplete!!!

anywya, i think your review was really good, i agree with most of it... i love jacob too!! i actually think he's (or was, i think he really did lose eprsonality after his imprinting) the best character on the twilight series. don't get me wrong, edward is so perfect and gorgeus... but i'd rather be with jacob!! he is like.. the sex-symbol of the book for me ahah soo big and wiht that "bad-boy" look
man... i started disliking bella on the very first book... now i absolutely hate ehr1! ok, she did improve her behaviour on book 3... but i strated being annoyed by ehr on book one... she justw as so.. desperate for getting some... and i absolutely hated her on jacob's book!!! i mena, i lvoed the fact that we could read things from jake¡s perspective... but c'mon!!!! bella was just ebeing stubborn and idiotic!!!
maybe this sounds rough... but she does nto deserve edward, or jacob. u.u
i even got a little mad at edward with his whole "i want-us-not-to-have-sex" and "let's kill - our-baby" attitude... =(
and JAZZ??? EM??? RENESMEE, for gdo's sake? what's up with that'??çreally missed more werewolves action towards the ending, especially on the final chapter... what abpout sam's, embry's, quil's, seth's and even leah's happilly-ever-after??
anywya, i kinda liked the book, i guess at th end, everyone got what they wanted (i almost fainted with jacob's imprinting.. that was a surprise)so... pretyt good...
1rsto book: BORING!! the only good part: the wedding!!!!
2nd book: awesomeee.. once you get used to hating bella
3rd book: weird, but finally good, i guess
loved: emmet's sexual jokes, jasper (he is relaly adorable), garret (idk, just loved him) JACOB (his POV, at least), leah's lady problems, seth (and his love for the cullens), jacob and edwards weri friendship..
bugged me: BELLA, nessie's name, the weird nicknames, lack of quil/embre/sam/paul/jared/leah/seth oh the third book, lack of some war, and yeah
thatwas it n.n

i loved the book. everything about it. of course she becomes a sex fiend the way vampires love is different than with humans and she always wanted to have sex b4 just edward would draw the lines and not do it. i think there could have been more bella/edward time b4 the baby. and i tihnk what she was tryin to say is that jacob loved bella so much becuz the whole imprinting thing. whatever makes them imprint new that he would imprint from bellas baby. like the pull he had with bella was her baby the whole time. i think it even says this in the book. and im glad that he imprinted that way they could still be friends and love each other the right way. jacob never had a chance. one thing i dont like is the whole imprinting thing. not getting to choose who u love. if jacob was dating someone and they loved each other but he happened to imprint on someone after so many years how fair is that to the person he was already with? it isnt fair at all. so i think him imprinting on nessie is a good thing and it also keeps the werewolves from attacking the cullens so it wrapped that part up nicely. knew that bellas special gift would be a sheild since in the other books no one could get in her mind. she was blocking them. it didnt feel like it was everyones baby to me. but of course i have 3 kids and when i had my oldest i lived with my family and it was pretty much the same way. everyone holding her and feeding her playing with her etc. im sure after everyone got used to her it would calm down a bit. i was annoyed with bella practically having to ask permission from jacob to hold her own daughter. i did not like that even tho i understood his side of it but after awhile and everyone knew bella was not gonna try and eat her he should have known better. when bella was yelling at jake about him imprinting on her baby pretty much sums that up. about him hvaing some wolffy claim on her daughter already and bella not even getting to be around her that long. im very glad that bella was so good at being a vampire at least she found a place that she belonged. and with her wanting to have the baby i think it just showed what lenghts people go to save their kids or to have kids. i can understand edward being upset since the baby was hurting bella and he doesnt like her to hurt in any way. i think SM did a wonderful job. the volturi was still there after they knew what nessie really was becuz that was just an excuse for them to fight with the cullens. they like power and cullens is a big family and they had lots of gifts that the volturi would like to have themselves they felt threatened. thats why alice saw them make the decision to go there b4 irina even told them about the baby. it makes me mad thinking about how may lives they took just so they could have more power and everyone be scared of them. Sm made me feel all kinds of emotions while i was reading the book. it was one hell of a ride and i loved every min of it. that for me is a great book. if they are able to draw me in and make me feel what they are going thru the struggles the heartache and the OMG! moments. worry.. all of it. it was wonderful and SM did an excellent job.

I loved your top 10 Worst list too!! You picked out the things that particularly bugged me. "Jazz & Em"... Every time Edward said that, I pictured them as a Jazz trio, all wearing black suits and sunglasses "a one and a two and a"... Let's kick the beat! -_-

Reading through this, you all are much more forgiving than I am. This book had some interesting parts (I actually enjoyed the X-Men-like introduction of all the different vampire covens and their talents... even though none of said talents were put to any use) but as for the main characters... I couldn't have possibly cared less about what happened to them by the end of the book. Edward is the worst offender. What happened to my strong, passionate and emotionally unstable vampire? He turned into such a pantywaste in this book! It started in Eclipse when he was perfectly OK with Bella and Jacob making out in the woods.... What boyfriend would be perfectly OK with that!? Ugh. Happy ending or not, Meyer ravaged these characters to a point where they all could have died at the end and I wouldn't have blinked twice. The series started out awesomely, but ended unbearably lamely. Happy Endings All Around!!!! WOOOO!!!..... Who cares. Someone get me a sandwhich.

I did enjoy Seth though. And even though Meyer made him kind of stupid a few times in this book, I still love Carlisle. Go team Seth and Carlisle!

Okay well All of you are puttng a lot of negitive comments on here !:( Well first of all Reneesme Is a pretty name. i think the reason they named her that is because they want to remember their parents!(Bellas mom and dad, Will die)

Ithnk that it is good that SM MAde Edward and Bella Have a child! The names that SM pick out are just perfect! The only thing that i didnt like is that stupid peice of turd Jacob !
If I had a chance, i would murder him! How could he Imprint on Remeesme ?!!! And in Eclipce how could he kiss her ? EWWW
And his thoughts out Edward!! I hate him! In breaking dawn I skipted His part of the book! HE also has no right to tell Bella the Where ever Reenesme goes he does! And if he does why not just his onw ticket( probably cant aford one!)

I am glade that she made it a happly ever after! If she didnt then i would cry all day and night ! This way if she dicides to make a 5 book then she could ! ( and make that a happily ever after) !!!

The 2 book was the worst with all the jacob and everythng !! EWW
i wish i could kill all the werewolfs! THey just bug me!!

Twilight656 I agree 100%.Jacob was pathetic and very selfish in every book but the first.WHAT A SORE LOSER!! I also skipped those whiny Jacob's part. I couldn't stand it.The only thing in the Twilight series that annoys me is that SM potrays Jacob like he loves Bella.WTF? How can you love someone and be so utterly selfish? DISGUSTING!! Bella is also pathetic by allowing this behavior.I would have never spoken to him EVER again after that kiss!!!And the fact that SM spent even one chapter on him still made him look better than he deserves.I'm glad Bella and Edward got their happy ending. That's what I've always wanted for them. The only thing is that bothers me is that Jacob came back into the picture.Seriously,SM I wish you would have gotten rid of that whiny selfish bratt. This is my Only regret of Breaking Dawn, everything else was great.

Well your review made me laugh and not because it was bad , but it was so well written - like Seth having "Cullen family" calendar - LOL :D Loved those two lists !! :))

I agree with the Jacob's POV part. At first , when I saw the Book Two: Jacob - I was like WTF?! - this is going to be soo boring - but it surprisingly it wasn't so bad than I feared ,(however I still refuse to read it) but still Jacob is sometimes very annoying. Also I didn't like that because of Renesmee , there were too few B/E romantic scenes for me and I hated Bella for causing the burning man look in Edward's eyes. I was like I'm going to kill you Bella for hurting Edward !!
But then again I too love the wedding and honeymoon, first hunt, Bella's birthday present and when Edward could hear Bella's thoughts ( It was soo cute , when Edward couldn't help himself but to kiss her ). Maybe I'm crazy , but I liked the "battle" scene , especially where Edward asks Bella "Are you doing this?" and Bella answers "I'm all over here(or something like that).".

In the end , it is readable book , when you skip some parts like Jacob's POV . In my opinion .

I loved Breaking Dawn. It was my favorite book out of the series.
These are my favorite things about BD
1. Jacob leaves Bella and Edward ALONE! FINALLY!
2. More Seth, I ♥ Seth! :)
3. Emmett and Bella's arm wrestle. HAHA, so funny. :D

Here are my least favorite things.
1. NOT ENOUGH JASPER!!! Grr I am Jasper starved.
2. Stupid Volturi.....
3. Stupid Amun. He was annoying as crap!

OK, i loved and hated Breaking Dawn.
I loved it because Bella finally gets to be a vampire, she loves the wedding in the end, and she has little Renesmee. Jacob annoys the hell out of me though, even though i do think his chapter names were funny. I seriously wanted him to get killed in the fight with the Volturi, so he could leave my Renesmee alone! I seriously wanted a Jacob/Leah thing going on. Renesmee is Bellas, not Jacobs! I really love Jasper, and I was annoyed that I didnt get much of him. I thought that SM was just being lazy, saying the Volturi just forgave them and ran away! I liked it were all the vampire witnesses were at the Cullens.
Even though I seriously like Book 1 in Breaking Dawn, i think it was obvious that she was pregnant. The bit were shes giving birth seriously grossed me out. The pain she described made me feel hurt myself. When Bella turns into a vampire, I hate the way shes all graceful. I wanted her to stay clumsy. xxx thats my view on breaking dawn xxx

I personally was quite dissapointed in the fourth book... i mean, by the end i suppose it was ok. Like many other folk i was a bit shocked about the baby twist in the story line... not the route i would have taken. The name, most definetly ridiculous. Renesmee... i'm sorry, Miss Meyers, what on earth were you thinking? Jacob was pretty funny i suppose, but he did get a bit annoying whining over bella for so long. She isn't interested mate, move on. It really does read like Fanfiction. But UNLIKE a lot of people the ending was the most dissapointing of all for me. She spent about 7 chapters preparing us for this amazing fight scene which i would have loved to read about, and just as soon as they are going to go for it, the Volturi back out. Cowards!! I think it would have made it a much better storyline if she had gone ahead with the big battle. And, i expect a lot of people will disagree with me here, if i had wrote the book i would have killed someone very important off. Not Edward, obviously. But maybe Carslile. Someone dominant that has a lot of impact in the books. Yeah it would have been heartbreaking, and it would have moved me to tears, but i guess that is what i expected. It would have proven the standard of writing we all know Stephenie Meyers is capable of (as she proved in the first 2 books) and i feel let down by this conclusion. It's like she was contracted for 4 books, and just wanted to get the last installment over and done with. I guess i can live with how it ended, but still, it was all a bit too 'happily-ever-after' for me.
Complete Fanfiction.

Idk what's wrong with me... but after bella and jacob got close... I kinda wanted bella to end up with him... so honestly... everything after edward getting back in the picture was just a dissapointment for me.. because I knew in the end he would win her... =( I was a bella/edward fan... until jacob was thrown into the picture.. it hit too hard. I love how jacob made her realize she loved him.... She shudda been with jacob..... don't get me wrong, the books were still great, even if nothing happened the way I wanted it to...

I agree. But also I don't.I LOVE LOVE LOVE how SM put a clever twist of adding Renesmee. I also didn't know what to expect when I read the Jacob part. I was looking foward of reading about her pregnancy and well, . . honestly I wanted bella to have a newborn crazed faze. I laughed for seriously for 15 mins when she attaced jacob. And a big thumbs up to SM, because emmetts sex joke were too funny. Especially when charlie was there and it embarresses the crap out of bella. It did leave me wanting more in the end, like is she going to write a sequel to breaking dawn? I know theres going to be a fith one and all(twilight from edwards point of view) but it answers nno questions i had at the end of breaking dawn like . . i have so many!
1. When do they leave forks?
2. Do the end up telling charlie they are vampires?
3. Does Rosalie totally take over with renesmee or will bella bite her head off?
4. When does Jacob become romanticly (and sexually) envolved with renesmee?
5. What would bella think of that?
6. or edward? He wouldn't be pleased, i know that.
7. Will jacob ever stop phasing? If he does he will age again and not be with renesmee.
8. Would he . . be a vampire just to be with her? (doubt it)
9. DOes emmett stop with the sex jokes? (hope not, too funny)
10. Does charlie end up with sue?
There's just waay to many. I am excited for midnight sun but i just want a sequel to breaking dawn. i dont want to ask so much from SM but, dude, she makes millions of these. i've had to buy 2 of each because i read them so often. i tried to take a break and read harry potter but -its good but not like twilight- i still read the twilight series every so often. i always have one in my locker, for school. I am totally obsessed with it. Ahah, a die-hard twilighter.

Hmm. Well I've got quite a few opinions on this book. The two that stand out the most for me are firstly NESSIE? Wtf? I know Im mostly just repeating what y'all are saying but its the truth. I actually had to stop reading this book half way through Bella's pregnancy to email my friend in anger and to calm down. I think the whole storyline is completely RIDICULOUS! I mean come on!! I just kept thinking back to how innocent and sweet and perfect Edward and Bella's love had been in twilight and kinda new moon..and now all of a sudden they were parents and there was this strange child?? No. I think right there was the ruining of it - Thanks SM. Anyway...I eventually went back to it, hoping E & B's love would shine through. It kind of did but there was just so much going on. Dont get me wrong, it was a nice direction SM went in introducing new characters, i found them all very interesting. But honestly I hve to admit evrytime Reneesme was mentioned I just wanted to put the book down. Throughout all 3 previous books I had really disliked Jacob, but by this point I LOATHED him for several reasons - 1. Bella practically had to ask permission to hold her own daughter when he had her. 2. He felt he had more of a right over Reneesme than anyone else. 3. He spent more time with her than Edward - HER FATHER!! 4. He went to charlie and phased infront of him and told him to go to the Cullens, exposing them all to him, putting them all and himself at risk...just because Jacob knew they were leaving Forks and he wouldnt allow himself to be separated from a child that wasnt in any way his...this actually really really bugged me that he did this and was soooo smug about it "Well now you wont have to leave because charlie knows" ..it wasnt his place to do this!! 5. It-was-just-plain-icky! He gave a baby a promise ring..wtf?
Sorry but Jacob more or less ruined it for me. I honestly really enjoyed his chapters even though i thought I would detest them, he was funny and brought the book to a new place...but then ruined it by imprinting on a strange half breed child that shouldnt have existed in the first place as it went against all logic and sense that SM had just about managed to maintain through all the books in the sense that even though I knew it was complete fiction and make believe, somewhere deep down i liked to believe that it could happen...sad as it sounds, its the truth...its a nice sense of "what if"....anyway...soon as Reneesme is on the scene it becomes impossible to believe any of it. Anyway, despite this big rant I actually thought the book was not bad...I still love B&E's love, the Cullen family and the premise its all based on. Just wish SM had really thought things through first!!

I loved it, really Edward and Bella so beat Romeo and Juliet!

I've read most of the comments and agree with some and disagree with others. The wedding, honeymoon was like my gosh, dream come true, I really felt it. I just hated the fact that Edward held back a lot, but it's his character, and I suppose that's just how he was, but I'm glad he gave in eventually. Wish SM had prolonged the scenes though, taken us half way there, it's not like we don't see it in movies all the time. I felt cheated on their love scenes, like they finally make love on their first night, and it was like a blank, she woke up the next morning....come on, yeah felt really cheated.

Bella and Edward having a child, I thought that was sweet, I mean, they have something to keep them busy besides sex.lol. I thought it was hilarious that he went into "shock", that's like so not Edward, but it was funny. About the name, yeah really wtf, no, no, no, it just didn't sound right, but i got used to it, but definitely not nessie, no ways. Since edward and bella are so crazy for each other and SM was putting two names together, Carlie, I didn't miss that one either, it should have been EDELLE then or something, elly is better than nessie. Anyway...

The birth was like ooooh God, I could see it, it reminded me of scenes from Alien, you know when the aliens come out of the human host, except "nessie" was beautiful. I can imagine that. Her being beautiful I mean. And to the comments about her not spending time together as a family, I think they did, eventually, I mean there was a lot of other drama going on, so it's fair. She's special so obviously everyone is going to be all around her. No one expected her but I think she brought the Cullens to a new special place as a family. And I could feel that Bella and Edward adored her.

The imprinting thing, well I don't know about that. I think SM tried her very best to make it clear that all Jake was concerned about was Nessie's happiness, I mean even at the end, when he found out that in 6 and a half years she would be "available", he didn't have any sexually thoughts,....yet. I think SM was trying to explain the bond between Jake and Bella, and to keep it making sense, I guess. But yeah it's too bad about Leah, maybe someone will imprint on her and she can finally be happy. The Jacob part was yeah funny, and it was a refreshing read, I mean it's always Bella, and well since it was about him saving Bella from the pack, it's best we saw it from his perspective.

I think Alice did the right thing, she was the brains of the whole Volturi counter attack. She is brilliant. Love her.

I hope when they do make a movie though they won't ruin it, the books are just so much better, so much more passion. And well in this book I felt like Bella had grown, a lot, and she was the hero at the end of it all, not giving in to her thirst and all that. Planning for Nessie and Jake, withstanding the pain of having to carry the baby...I felt like I was no longer reading about two teens but two adults, I mean a wife and mom, and saving your whole family and friends, I'm not sure if they'll be able to portray that in the movie. And a happier Edward I hope, I felt a change in him too, in twilight the movie he looked hot, but like he was always suffering. There was a comment about Bella always thinking about Edward, that she gave herself to him, I think he did just the same if not more and stupidly so sometimes, but they gave equally, I actually felt a love given equally, unselfishly, no one was sacrificing more than the other. And as corny as it sounds, that yeah they were two halves, that made one whole, surreal!!

All in all she finished it very well though I can see if she wanted to write a fifth book she has a plot to work with. You can't satisfy everyone, it's her story and I think she made it the way she wanted it, and there is bound to be criticism obviously but really I give her props, she did a brilliant job. We got our happily ever after, something that no one believes in anymore.

Thanks SM, really, it was a refreshing Saga, in a day and age just filled with lust, and cheating and divorces, it was a nice escape.

i agree commpletly. Them just having a baby threw me off and the fact it was killing her and she refussed to give her up. i have a question has renee ever find out about bellas daughter a assumed Charlie told her but theylostcontact after that it looks like. with jacob was a little creepy he is in love with bella then he sees her daughter and has to stay there then just nicknames her after a monster. then they have to leave and he goesto tell charlie to keep them there? jacobs personality has totley changed after Renesmee was born. I would want to either see it in edwards perspective or Bellas for the whole book. this just left me with A LOT of what ifs we have NEVER see edward talk about what happened or what hes thinking it would be interesting to see that.
