Sookie and Bill
Since reading Twilight, I like most of you, have become addicted to vampires (or the thought of their existence). The idea of a love like Edward and Bella’s is so intriguing its how Meyer has kept us enthralled for years. After finishing Breaking Dawn and The Host, I have finally found something to feel the void as we wait for Twilight to hit the theaters.

I have been working in the movie industry for almost a year now and with that come perks. I am able to view movies and television shows before they hit the mainstream. The other day a new series from HBO called True Blood came to my attention. True Blood is about vampires who no longer need humans to feed, drink synthetic blood and our almost accepted by society.

HBO Review:    Local waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), however, knows how it feels to be an outcast. "Cursed" with the ability to listen in on people's thoughts, she's also open-minded about the integration of vampires — particularly when it comes to Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a handsome 173-year-old living up the road. But as Sookie is drawn into a series of mysteries surrounding Bill's arrival in Bon Temps, that tolerance will be put to the test.

Sookie is able to read minds but when she meets Bill she is blocked , almost identical to the situation with Edward and Bella. This story is very similar to the Twilight series with a little more twists and maturity. As many of you know HBO is not known for it’s modesty in their T.V. shows. If you’re younger then 17 make sure you ask your parents permission before watching. Although, it’s not much worse than what you can see on your basic cable. The love story between Sookie and Bill will draw you in and leave you restless until next week.

I really think Twilight fans will enjoy this!!

Sweet! I love Anna Paquin, and not only THAT but she was how I originally viewed Bella, before the actors were casted!

Another good one...is Blood Ties. But I think it only plays in Canada...man vampires are taking over the world! Hundreds of books and then movies and tv shows like Blood Ties, Moonlight, Buffy and now this one!
