"Damn!" I muttered, falling back a mile to the south, when I smelt Victoria going east instead. I bit down on my lip, my sharp teeth peircing through.
My phone rang, and I breached a stop. Though I was lifeless, I wasn't so immature to not answer my phone - disregarding that it was Rosalie.
"Edward?" she said more aprupt, but gleeful than usual. Her shrill tone was tainted with happiness. What was she so ebullient about?!
"Rosalie, I politely requested that at the time none of the family bother me with calls. What is it that made you decide to break that request?"
"You'll never guess what Alice saw, Edward." She was so enthralled in the moment, I wondered if she saw my death. I thought, as I paced, and stopped when there was a puddle of mud up to my knees. I nearly laughed at my clumsy mistake, thinking of how it reminded me of Bell---
"Bella," my heart shuddered, like as if it were a tree being shaken for apples, when there's simply none left. I trembled, picking my pace up, now furious she'd bring it up. How I missed my beloved, Bella. How I wanted to do nothing more than go to Forks...
