I wouldn't pay "Ebay insane" prices, if that's what you mean, simply because it's scalpers who get most of that money, not the band (and yeah, cuz Ebay tickets are, uh, insane! :P )
Our trip to Hawaii in December was primarily to see the band, though, and when it was all said and done, yeah, that was an expensive trip. The concert tickets were only $95, though, which is very reasonable for groups of such stature. In fact, the band purposely try to keep floor tickets cheap. Floor tickets for the two U2 arena concerts I saw this tour were only $49 each, which is insanely LOW, actually.
To answer the question, though, YES, U2 are certainly worth what I spent for the three shows I saw this tour. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on anyone else, period.
