Guide To Ten Recommended Ugly Betty Related Sites

Ugly is in is the last Ugly Betty fansite to dissapear online for good, which dissapointed many fans of the show, as they enquire about other places to find stuff on the show. Therefore, I thought I would put together a list of 10 alternative websites and fansites, in no ascending order that are worth checking out. *NB: If there is a website that isn't mentioned on the list, then please feel free to share and add it on here and to let every other fan know about it :). The Ugly Betty club on Fanpop- My favourite overall. The amount of fans it has is just staggering and it keeps on growing each month. You can post photos, links, articles, fan art, picks etc. The ease of doing all of this is what makes it so interesting and garners so many other fans. Design is simple though the background could do with some added colour. Other than that, I love it! Ugly Betty News- website where writer Tom keeps us informed and up-to-date with the latest goings on, during and behind the scenes at Mode. Full of fan opinions and like-minded and intelligent fans, who wish to discuss the show, UB news is well worth visiting. Ugly Is The New Beautiful- Sir Lizard's fansite, which has info and news on the various worldwide versions of the show. Including the original Columbian telenovela, 'Betty La Fea'. Probably my favourite aspect of Ugly is the New Beautiful, is the character comparison chart. Very cool and interesting it is too :). TV.com- Ugly Betty- Has an episode guide for each season which is constantly updated. Photo gallery is excellent though it could do with some more season 3 cast photos, and perhaps a screencaps section as well. Has sections for videos, show and episode reviews and a forum. The Original Ugly Betty Community- Live Journal- Fans through their Live Journal account post news, articles and links to screencaps, photos and hold discussions on the show, storylines, characters. Active site for most of the time, especially when the show is currently airing on TV. Great place to find links to icons, screencaps, photos that users post on there. Informative, but friendly set of users. TV Guide- Ugly Betty- Photo gallery is great: has news, photos, TV listings cast sections but no forum. In addition, background needs more colour. The Official ABC Ugly Betty Site- Not a fan of its forum myself, but otherwise it is still cool. Has an episode guide, character bios, photo gallery, ABC shop to buy Ugly Betty merchandise and a section titled 'Ask Becki and Michael' where you can email your questions to Becki Newton and Michael Urie. Starpulse- Ugly Betty- Good selection of photos and images on the cast. Strangely though it has episode guides for seasons 1 and 2 but not 3. IMDB- Ugly Betty- Plenty of info on cast and episodes, has a news section, image gallery. Problem I have is with the forum: as this is not moderated probably and is thus, easily susceptible to abuse from other users. Things can get quite hostile on the forum as well. Which is the main reason why I don't post on there any more. Buddy TV- This one is okay, although I do prefer TV.com's Ugly Betty site instead. It needs improving, although I have seen worse sites than Buddy TV. |
