I 1st saw V for Vendetta in the movie theatre
when it came out. I have absolutely fell in love with this film. I adore everything about it. Natalie Portman's acting in this is extraordinary! She really evolves as Evey Hammond and takes the audience through her transformation: form a scared repressed television personal assistant to a strong confidant revolutionary. I also love V and Evey's relationship. I liked how it reminded me of another character relationship Natalie has done before. That of Leon and Mathilda form The Professional. Through this relantionship is different. V is not only Evey's friend but he is her mentor helping her overcome her paralyzing fear by allowing her to face it head on. True his methods are albeit questionable yet effective. Through in the long run Evey comes to truly love and appreciate V for the friend and lover that he is. In doing this Evey is able to metaphorically take up V's cause which in turn gives her the courage to finish the revoultion V started.That is why I love this film because it shows real relationships between real heartfelt characters. I also love Hugo Weaving's performance he totally makes V a truly remarkable character. One that I won't soon forget.I also have started a tradition of watching it every year two minutes before midnight on November the fourth. Watching the film like this truly makes it a lot more exciting and profound for me. I suggest to anyone who loves the film as much as I do to start doing this as well.That is why I love V for Vendetta.
