"Roxie!"Eric said as he kicked the back of my chair. Ms.Hennigan was writing our homework assignment on the blackboard, which was going to take a while so I knew it would be safe to talk to him.
"What!"I said angrily, whipping my head around.
"Is it ok if I drop by your place when we get out of this dump, just to meet your new lil' sis' Mckenzie?" Eric asked. He was reffering to the little brat I was stuck with for the next 5 weeks as part of a big sis' lil' sis' programme Ms.Hennigan was running for a project we were doing on community service.
"Yeah sure whatever." I sighed as I swung around in my seat to face forward. I looked up at what Ms.Hennigan had written down on the blackboard and wrote it down in my homework journal. It wasnt alot all she wanted as to do was to spend our night bonding with our lil' sis, if we were getting one if not we had to right a 500 word essay on community service. This was the easiest assignment ever, this would be a synch.
The bell rang just as I put my journal into my bag. Eric was packed up and standing right in front of me before I even had the chance to stand up.
"Here." He said lifting my bag up and slinging it over my should for me.
"Thanks." I said as we walked towards the door.
"So remind me again, why your lilttle brat's in the home?" Eric said as he opened the main door for me.
"Her mother abused her and then social services took her into care. What is it that your doing again?"
"I'm going cleaning the park every saturday." He said as he stopped to tie the shoelace of his scruffy black converse that he wore almost everyday.
"Hey didn't you have a lilltle sister called Mckenzie?" I asked.
"Yeah, yeah I did but we lost her, a few years ago she was playing in the garden and my mom went to check on her and she was gone." he said kicking a stone into the middle of the road. He rubbed his hands through his thick brown hair.
"Oh, I'm sorry." I said as i tried to meet his eye, but it was no use.
"It's ok, I'm over it." He said as we reached reached my house.
"Hey Mom is she here?" I asked my mom as my mom watered the plants.
"Hi Roxie, oh hi Eric. Yeah shes up stairs unpacking in your room." my mom said cheerfully.
He opened the door and ran up the stairs into my room, I dropped my bag into the kitchen and followed him up the stairs.

ERIC'S P.O.V.
I dropped everthing at the foot of the stairs and ran up them as fast as I could, so I had more time with Mckenzie before Roxie came up. I ran straight for Roxie's room I flung open the door and there she was, sitting at the end of the bed. Her platnium blonde hair and violet blue eyes were un-missable.
"Ha, is that the best you could think of? Abused by you mother? My my you are getting worse at lieing. You do know mom's going to kill you, when she hears what you've done." I said sarcastically as I strolled over and put my arm around her.
"We're already dead, what's the worst she could do?" She said as she shrugged my arm off.
"I can't thank you enough for doing this." I said looking into eyes.
"Yeah,yeah so you've said but if she annoys me I'm going to bite her." Mckenzie smirked showing her sharp teeth.
"Don't you dare, you know how I feel about her." I said.
"Fine." She sighed. I thanked her and kissed her on the cheek and pulled away just in time before Roxie arrived at the door.

ROXIE'S P.O.V.
"Hi, you must be Mckenzie." I said holding out my hand for her to shake it. She stared at it for a few seconds before she shook it. Eric coughed then Mckenzie finally spoke.
"Yes, nice to meet you. You're Roxie right?" She said with an innocent cild like voice.
" Yeah, nice to meet you too. Oh I see you've already met Eric." I said gesturing towards him.
"Yeah, I've only just met him and I feel like I've known him my whole life." She giggled. Eric gave her a sturn look and she stopped immediately.
"Ok, Mom said dinners nearly ready do you want to stay here for dinner?" I asked Eric in the hope that he'd say yes.
"Oh, what's for dinner I'm starved, chicken, beef,steak humans?" Mckenzie laughed. I stared at her blankly wondering what made her say that.
"Private joke, isn't that right Eric?"She said winking at Eric.
"Uh.....yeah sorry Roxie I'm gonna head home and start on that essay." He said leaving the room so fast I didn't even get the chance to open my mouth to try and change his mind.
"I guess it's just you and me then." I smiled at her.
