It's not even close - the UK version is SO much better. For one thing, it never wastes time with long shots of Drew Carey guffawing.

I like it better only because it's easier for me to understand the american humour.

One thing I don't really like about the American version is Wayne Brady - I just don't find him that funny.

The British version is what I saw first, and it is SO much funnier. The women are funnier, and it's more my kind of humour.

Ugh...Drew Carey annoys me....it seems like he's always wanting to be part of the action...that's why they put in that bit at the end where he gets to join in...Drew Carey is NOT funny...Gah...i'm all annoyed now thinking about him....

I'm with alexmcneice, Drew Carey REALLY isn't all that funny. The British version had a kinda refined humour, not some running around the studio like a headless chicken type humour.

I saw the US version first, and originally I thought the UK version was boring, but I warmed up to it and now I like the British version much, much better. Drew really annoys me after a while, and I don't like the fact that just about EVERY episode has Ryan, Colin, Wayne, and Greg/Brad/Chip/Kathy/Jeff. Don't get me wrong, I like them (except Kathy), but I would have liked to see better variety like in the UK version. They couldn't have honestly been the only good improvisers willing to do the show.

but there are more jokes about colin's baldness which can make the American funny but still English better.

No question! Drew "I must be in every sketch' Carey is nothing compared to Clive Anderson... and our version just seems to have cleverer humour/tasks. UK rules!!!

I dunno, I'm from UK but I have seen the American one first and got used to all the Characters. One thing I tend not to get used to are copy cat shows because they are always different even though its basically the same show. Just like Millionaire and Deal or No Deal etc. It always irritates me and I don't know why. But thats just me. I tend to like British tv more because its more "down to earth" and "real" but it also depends which one I saw first sometimes.

I hate Clive Anderson
Like with a passion
I think he's so patronising
That's what won the american version for me.
Though I agree with nerysflynn - give me Ryan Stiles and either version is great =P

Drew Carey annoys me so much and sometimes it's just not that funny. It depends I guess.

The women are generally funnier on the UK version, but I think they're way less restrictive with jokes in the Us version.

I've only seen the British version a couple of times, but it seems nowhere near as funny as the American (and, yes, I am British).

There just is no comparison - British humour knocks the socks off of American humour. Drew Carey is SO annoying where he tries to outshine the others - why is he on there? He isn't even funny! The British version is so much funnier because they don't need everyone making idiots of themselves to get a few laughs here and there.
